while we would arrive early, Anne was lovely, showed us the room while it wasn't ready for us, which didn't matter because we wanted to find the location first, then move on to the local area. when returning, the room was lovely, laid out and was what we were looking for. thanks Anne. The accommodation is beautiful, all details are thoughtful and curated. Everything from the fresh flowers and home-cooked biscuits to crisp white linen was perfect. Everything is walking distance, the mill is a 10 minute walk as is the centre of town. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back! Thank you for having us !

A fantastic place to stay - roomy, private, cosy, aesthetically pleasing, full kitchen supplies if you want to cook yourself. Right on the doorstep to restaurants, pubs, bars. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful time , Roberta was so friendly and attentive. The decor was really lovely. The bed was comfortable and the sheets really luxurious. Everything was perfect, the location is fabulous such a short walk to town. We loved staying here and will be back again. The porch was a superhighway for the birds so delightful. Lots of attention to details to make your stay just fabulous. Loved the two bathrooms, ducted heating was cozy and warm. All our needs were covered thanks again Roberta.

We stayed at Vivien’s Rest for an extended stay while waiting for our house to be rebuilt after a house fire. The apartment was a real haven for us. The 1865 building at street level was charming, while the modern apartment interior was very functional with lots of light and delightful views of the surrounding area. The apartment was very comfortable with everything needed for a short or long stay. Lovely original artworks and indoor plants added to the general ambiance of this upmarket accommodation. The free wifi was also a real bonus. We enjoyed the large bathroom and comfortable bedrooms as well as the fully kitted out kitchen to cook our own meals. As well the location is minutes from the centre of town and only a short walk to some great restaurants and cafes and the historic Theatre Royal. Juliet was a real gem. She is a very thoughtful and accommodating host who responded very quickly to all requests. I would highly recommend this delightful apartment.

The place was as described and perfect for a short stay with the family. The saltwater pool was lovely and clean. The place was quiet and within walking distance to Castlemaine city centre.
