In particular, Tōjinbahara is famous for its snow crab, Hokkaido crab, shiitake mushrooms, and Shirako beef. There are also places nearby where you can fish for rainbow trout using spring water. ※ We recommend using a car (rental car) as there is not much public transportation in the area. Hokkaido Natural Hot Spring Guest House, this guest house is a detached house with a traditional Japanese garden, fish pond, barbecue house, natural hot springs, and can accommodate up to 8 people. We renovated a 124 ㎡ house (two-story) in a quiet residential area.There is a grand piano in the living room, and you can play it freely.The Japanese-style room on the first floor can be used as a tea room with tea utensils.If you wish, you can have an authentic tea ceremony experience with a tea ceremony instructor living in Hakodate. The living room and the three Japanese-style rooms are also spacious.It has Wi-Fi, a workspace on the 2nd floor, and is suitable for workation.It is standard for 4 people, but please inquire if you wish to accommodate more than 5 people, such as family members. It’s a nice cabin, everything is just as it says on the website. Location is good for both Hakodate and Lake Onuma. We came in winter so didn’t use the outdoor area but it seems like there is BBQ area, pizza oven and a selection of games for kids. I liked that there was as much wood for the fire as we needed (some places scam you for the wood). The owner was helpful and friendly. One small issue is the WiFi package - it is not limitless WiFi (looks like 50GB per month) and as we came near the end of the month, it ran out… I guess it was a good chance to get kids off screens.

A spacious kitchen area is presented with wooden beams and cabinetry. A white dining table is centrally located, surrounded by a bench and chairs. Modern appliances, including a refrigerator and stove, are positioned against the walls, with natural light streaming through large windows.

This is a house with six beds. You can see the lake from the window, although it's a bit of a walk. There are no convenience stores or train stations nearby. In exchange, you get privacy. The house was furnished well and had all of the essentials. Additionally, it had a game room with a ping pong table. If you don't mind long walks, you can reach a horse ranch, some restaurants, and onsens. One tip is to walk one direction and use a taxi on the way back. It was 1,700 yen for a taxi from the onsen to the house. I recommend this stay for people with a car or who are accustomed to walking. In conclusion, I plan to stay here again next year when I am back in the area.

A wonderful stay after visiting the national parks of Hokkaido. I would highly recommend anyone stay here if you plan to visit Japan. The amenities are top notch and the host was extremely welcoming and accommodating. It truly made our trip to Japan one to remember!
