Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Midden-Drenthe

The house is a wonderfully comfortable house where we spent a very nice vacation. We stayed there for two weeks (we even extended for 1 day) but we could easily have stayed longer. A very nice area where it was wonderful to walk and cycle. And in the garden, about the only sound you heard was from the birds (and sometimes in the distance the sheep). Piet responded to all questions very quickly and when the first day it turned out that the TV was "disrupted" and, despite all the instructions, could not be solved by us, he himself came by to fix it. Even after maintenance by KPN in the area, the internet no longer wanted to start up (tried many times), Piet came by again as a saving angel and the problem could still be solved. In short, very helpful and approachable. Definitely a place to remember!

We had a wonderful time at Ton and Lizette’s place. The house and surroundings were even nicer than the photos. The house had everything we needed for a weekend away. They even included a few dog treats to also welcome our dog. He really lived his best life exploring outside. We felt relaxed and enjoyed taking walks in nature. The bed was so comfortable with the adjustable settings and reading lamps. We were sad to leave, but we look forward to going back!

What a beautiful colorful house; that makes you feel very nice and welcome when you enter. Quiet place in beautiful bungalow park. Lots of privacy in the garden. Easy to locate after good instruction and key box with code works fine! A nice place to stay during our bike ride. Everything you need was available. Lovely bed ensures a good night's sleep and rested the next day. We'd love to come back for multiple days to make trips. Frits and Maria

This holiday home is very stylishly furnished. The house is very complete, everything has been thought of. The chairs and sofa are very nice and the shower is also nice. You can sit outside in a screened garden. There is a lot to play for children.

We stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful cottage. The kitchen was well-equipped, everything was very clean, there were good quality bed linen, comfortable beds, really nice garden and a free parking space. The whole site was very peaceful and there was even a playground and a small playing field for basketball and football. The check-in was very easy and convenient, we arrived late, but still could find our keys easily. The only thing to take in mind is that there are no towels included, toilet paper and hand soap, so you either have to bring your own or rent (towels ) at the reception.

Great house, lovingly decorated and optimal location close to the center. Good restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. Thought that we were short of coffee beans, made contact and within a very short time a young man stood at the front door with the beans. Great service.

Really a wonderful place if you want to unwind and love space and greenery. You look out over the garden and countryside. Delightful sounds of birds, frogs and even wild quails! The space is a kind of studio with a separate toilet and bathroom. Wonderful bed with good pillows. Nice seat. Small pantry where coffee and tea are available. With good weather, you can sit outside on the terrace.

Beautiful modern home decorated with a lot of love. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back. We loved it all around, everything was very well maintained and clean. Sem was accessible at all times and helped us. Thank you for the wonderful time.

I enjoyed a very quiet and comfortable stay at Jan and Jannie's cottage. You can walk from the yard into the surrounding nature areas, and when it rains, you don't have to get bored in the cottage: there are books and games, and there is a large TV on the wall. The cottage has a private terrace that opens onto the courtyard. On Saturday, there were some people, ponies and covered wagons walking around, but that also had something cozy, I thought. I'd love to come back!

I stay there for 3days and everything was as i Imagine. I was the first guest and Everything was Good. And Hanneke is a very nice Person that you need to meet!

The best neighborhood , a minute walk from downtown and a place that feels just like home! Timnette and her husband welcomed us to their beautiful home and very lovely people . We checked in early because we arrived early but enjoyed the walk straight after in the area. Plenty of restaurants around , supermarket is 5 minutes walking and home was fully equipped with everything. I wish we stayed for longer it was th perfect holiday home. Thank you for making our stay super memorable with my mother 🫶🏼

Jannie and Arnold were great hosts, Arnold met us when we drove in and showed us the house. They gave us tips for restaurants in the area and supplied is with everything we needed for our night stay. The place is beautiful and peaceful, 10 minutes drive from Groningen. Would recommend for a peaceful weekend away.

I recently stayed at Angelina’s condominium in Groningen and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent—right in front of a bus stop and situated in a clean and quiet neighborhood. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which made it easy to prepare meals during my stay. There’s a nice dining area and a cozy living room, but what I loved most was the charming loft bedroom. Every morning, I enjoyed a cup of coffee with breakfast, a peaceful routine that made my stay even more enjoyable. The only challenge was the room temperature, which felt a bit chilly for someone like me who’s used to tropical weather. However, it was part of the unique experience and didn’t take away from the comfort of the stay. Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Groningen.

Tineke is a generous and careful host! Everything here is of exellent quality and in a good condition. You can live here for a year without having to buy extra things😆

Beautiful location and really nice, we were allowed to use two bicycles and a canoe, which was great. We were in Groningen in about 45 minutes by bike.

Our stay at Christel's was perfect! The house is welcoming, clean, comfortable, spacious. The bed is really comfortable! After a good day of sightseeing, it's very pleasant to return to this quiet neighborhood, surrounded by nature. You can easily reach the city center by car in less than 10 minutes. Christel is an attentive host. We'll be happy to go back!

The hosts were flexible and very welcoming. The apartment was perfect for my stay in Assen. Would highly recommend :)
