Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Marlborough District

Very spacious home with everything we needed. Spectacular mountain views made even more stunning by the snow that fell during the first night we were there. Great to have wood stove which we used the first morning we awoke because the temperature had dipped to 12c! Lots of extra blankets in the hall cupboard for which we were most grateful. Too bad we booked only two nights - certainly worth a longer stay (and, due to the size of the house, with more people!) Highly recommend Gerhard’s place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mike’s place. The living space and bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable. It was a great base from which we could explore Nelson. Mike was very responsive when we reached out, too.

We had an idyllic two weeks here, exploring on foot, by car, and rented e-bikes. Easy access to a great network of bike trails (the Great Taste Trail). An easy walk to 2 brewpubs and other restaurants and an excellent Thai massage location. Go east to Havelock for mussels or west to Abel Tasman NP for a Waka paddle or beach time. Back home we would relax in the private hot tub, enjoy the TV and cook in the well stocked kitchen. The accommodation was spotless, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed for a relaxing time. The host was always responsive and provided lots os suggestions for sights, shopping and restaurants.

For a recent project where we were installing our products, our installation team had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Airbnb for the past 4 days. They said it was a fantastic experience. The host, Marina was incredibly helpful and kind, going out of her way to ensure the team felt welcome. She had everything prepared for their arrival, including a great selection of coffee, tea, Milo & jams etc! The house was fully stocked with all the essentials. The house is very nice, well arranged, clean, comfortable, great location and had beautiful views. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, well-equipped home away from home. Amazing place…have not had a better view. Definitely need a AWD to get up the hill, but host (Tamarin) made sure that she communicated that before confirming booking. Property has a cat, onyx, very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Huge property to wander around, see sheep, cattle and feed chickens.

We absolutely loved this place and even though we live in the North Island we are already planning a trip and really hope to stay there for longer next time. It was like home but bigger, and reminded me of the decor of my parents house. Lovely, clean, and also central. The house was sun drenched and comfortable. Homely.

We spent two weeks exploring New Zealand, staying at seven different places, and this one was, without a doubt, our favorite. The property is truly spectacular. The architecture of the home is stunning, the expansive grounds are impressive, and the decor is incredibly stylish—it's a really cool and unique space. The house was spotless, with a spacious bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. We loved grilling our meals on the outdoor BBQ, cooling off in the plunge pool, and enjoying the outdoor shower. Both the front and back patios offered lovely seating areas where we could relax and soak in the surroundings. We chose not to go out in the evenings because we simply wanted to savor every moment on the property. The location is perfect, just a stone's throw from the Wither Hills, making it easy to enjoy a peaceful walk or hike. It's also close enough to town that our tour guides picked us up (one of them even asked to come inside so he could recommend it to some friends). Book it!

Valerie and Ewan were very friendly and a highlight was their spectacular garden. We were very lucky to be able to help ourselves to the abundant veggie patch. Lots of yummy treats left for us on arrival. Good small supermarket, a couple of pubs and the amazing bakery. We had a very peaceful Xmas/New Year here.

Amazing stay at beautiful South Street cottage. Jason is a great host, & very helpful. Great location in a cute historic house with parking and a little garden area. Close to town and the Cathedral. Very cute. 🥰

We found the Clifftop Retreat cabin suited our needs perfectly and Bob provided an excellent level of communication, service and local tips. He also ensured the pantry and wines were stocked with high quality local products. The accomodation was very good with comfortable bed, terrific functional kitchen and amazing clifftop views of the surrounding bay and local area. The location was perfect for our walking trips up into the Abel Tasman National Park and also fantastic local restaurants and wineries. Bob also organised a pick up from the airport for us as we arrived late at night. Overall a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend Clifftop Retreats very highly.

Quiet, secure. Easy access to restaurants and pub; we appreciated the laundromat a short walk away. Nice amenities in the apartment.

I’ve stayed in a lot of places all around the world, but this place outshines all of them. The views are absolutely beautiful. The host has thought of every single possible thing you could ever need. I wish there was a stronger word to use than well equipped. Maybe perfectly equipped? I wish we could’ve stayed longer and if I was ever in the area again, I would definitely stay there. I would say don’t bother looking for any place else. Just book this beautiful home. You can occasionally hear people walking on the floor above you, but it was barely noticeable and rarely happened. It is extremely spacious. I mean extremely spacious. It’s huge. The host left snacks, fresh fruit, champagne was chilling on arrival. Outside space was absolutely beautiful. Comfortable furnishings on the deck. I could go on and on.

What an incredible spot! The garden is so lovely and the house provides a quiet retreat while being close to lots of great activities. Love that bikes and kayaks were provided. Tim and Michelle also provided many incredible local recommendations that were spot on. Highly recommend and I hope I get to go back one day!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Greg & Jan’s place! We were there to celebrate our mom’s big birthday and it was a wonderful stay. Lovely house with a beautiful pool, kitchen and everything else ❤️ Greg & Jan were delightful hosts, always available to answer any questions we may have. Beautiful place to stay in Blenheim, visiting many wineries nearby. Highly recommend!

This place was amazing!!! We booked the whole place and had a family reunion with 15 adults, 2 kids and an infant and the villa was perfect! If anything she under sells how wonderful it is!

We loved our stay at the Hawkesbury Homestead!! Beautiful house, plenty of space, lovely grounds and surroundings! Lynda was an amazing host, very communicative and helpful with several local recommendations that were all fabulous.

Pictures can't convey the beauty of this place. The road to the top is part of the experience, and just as amazing. The owners are extremely nice and even provided locally sourced breakfast and other goodies. the house was superbly clean and there are 360 views from literally everywhere in the house. We had a hard time leaving!

Great place to stay. We were a group of 9 and we all had plenty of space. The location is a short walk to a Four Square and the Māpua wharf where there are plenty of eateries to choose from and lovely artisan and gift stores. Jane was a great host who communicated well and provided local recommendations. Would happily stay here again.

This was our second visit to Atatu and we weren't disappointed. This is a truly beautiful place to stay. The house is fantastic with every facility you could possibly need. A place for total relaxation with pool, spa and space. Beautiful countryside and the sounds of nature on your doorstep. Panoramic views across rolling hills of olive and pine nut trees out to the ocean beyond. If you like to cook then you'll find everything you need in the well appointed kitchen. Lots of dining space both inside and out. Basia is the ultimate host. Informative, helpful, proactive, doing everything she can to make sure your stay is perfect. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return a third time next year.
