A well-designed home is one where, if you think you need something, it is thoughtfully placed where you'd first think it should be placed. Ketholeno's house is beautifully designed in that sense. Whether in the kitchen or in the rooms, everything was wonderfully set up. It is in a lovely compound where there is also a school, and it is a fantastic sight to see the kids early in the morning every day. Ketholeno herself was extremely communicative and accommodating of our requests. She stays closeby and was available if we needed anything. There are stores closeby, parking available and all amenities you need. Perfect place to stay if you are a family of 5-8.

Kenei is a wonderful host and he provided us with the most beautiful room with the perfect view of the hills in Kohima. He is warm, patient and assisted me with all my queries. I am grateful to him and his lovely housekeeper Sini for our time in Kohima. Thanks Kenei and see you again soon !

I am glad to have found this place. Its a beautiful stay with good view of the Kohima city and lots and lots of nature. You wake up to the sounds of ducks, chickens. The place is everything a nature lover wants. Coming to the hosts, Kerie and Keneth have been such wonderful hosts. You just tell something and they will make every efforts to make that happen. They took out time and showed me some great local places, suggested good food items to try. Also, they helped me plan my itinerary and made my first Nagaland trip just memorable. Food made by Kerie was just delicious. Be it the chicken curry or the kheer, loved them all. Keneth drove me to any place in my wishlist. He helped me explore Kohima just like a local. I am already missing the place and the sweet hosts. Eagerly waiting for my next trip to Nagaland soon :)

On popular booking websites we don't find any listed hotels outside imphal. There are a few homestays in Loktak Lake, Moirang. So as of now Chandra's homestay is the only listed homestay in Kakching which is close to Burma Border. Both Chandra and Monika can converse in English, Hindi and are very friendly. The first time i spoke with them on phone they guided me very patientfully and were available all the time. He asked if i wanted to eat outside food. I opted for Homemade Manipuri food afterall that's a rare opportunity i didn't wanted to miss. Eating manipuri food sitting with a manipuri family. If you want you can also help in cooking or cook your own food. I definitely recommend his homestay. Monica and Chandra were great hosts to me.

Wonderful stay for the Hornbill Festival! Zayiekhoto's apartment was large, centrally located in Kohima, just a short walk from the B.O.C. market (and other smaller shops were less than a stone's throw from the place), and had a gorgeous view- amazing to wake up to each day! My host was kind, helpful, and responsive which I appreciated as a solo female traveler who had never been to Nagaland before, offering tips on transport and connectivity. The hot water and washer/dryer were such helpful amenities to have, the kitchen was spacious and great to use, and despite the cold weather during this time of year, the well-placed space heater helped with chilly evenings. Absolutely fabulous stay- thank you so much!
