Tranquillity in a modern unit

Forget your worries in this serene space. Nestled in a farming region. Great views onto the Pyrenees and the surrounding rolling hills you'll have a very peaceful and quiet stay. There is a little private Terrace at the back, views onto our forest and the countryside. It's completely private. The unit is freshly renovated and really only suitable for people looking for a quiet stay. Some lovely little towns with amazing bakeries and restaurants are not far away.

Welcome to Playras! Come and recharge your batteries in this tiny hamlet, a little piece of heaven perched at 1100 m altitude, facing south. Stunning views of the Spanish border chain. This hamlet is made up of about fifteen old barns, each more beautiful than the last, giving it an indefinable charm! The GR de Pays (Tour du Biros) passes in front of our house. Converted Barn in Samaran, Gers with pool.

We had a wonderful 2-week stay at James and Nick's place. It is a beautiful converted stable with all the amenities one could want. Beautiful views over the local countryside. We had "not so good" weather, and were unable to use the pool, but the inside of the house more than made up for it. James was a great host. Always checking up on us, always suggesting things we might do. We brought two bikes, and the cycling was fabulous. Not flat, but beautiful country in every direction. The kitchen was very well outfitted with lots of dishes, pots and pant, cutlery and glass. (There was one less wine glass when we left. Very sorry, James, you were so good about it.) Definitely a place to stay, for either 2 or 4 people!

What an amazing place to stay , Mark & Kay are superb hosts , making us feel extremely welcome , we had absolute privacy but knew that our hosts were there if we wanted anything at all , the accommodation is incredible & wonderfully comfortable, we slept like logs in the large bed with delicious crisp clean linen. The welcome pack is above & beyond anything we have been offered before ( Kay even made us a delicious broccoli salad to go with our BBQ) we didn’t want to leave & will 100% be returning. We’re travelling through France for 6 weeks & Mark & Kay are going to be a hard act to follow.

A big thank you to Danielle, Henri... and Louis (the dog) for this relaxing stay at their home. A green corner away from the hustle and bustle, a beautiful house... and its swimming pool. Not to mention the small wooden bridge, the water lilies, the forest for walks, etc. Excellent cleanliness, great hosting, we would have liked to extend our stay a little...

We discovered a very pleasant setting and great hosts: smiling, happy to lend us their little corner of happiness: a nice little house with everything you need, access to the pool, horses, a games room. Everything was there even for our dog. Perfect if you want peace and quiet. Thank you for this trip!
