Nature's Delight - Suite #2 (Quiet, Modern, Beach)

Our trip at Nature's Delight in Crooked island was exceptional. The neighborhood was as described; "sparsely populated and very quiet"! This was to our liking. We enjoyed trips to the beach and quiet time on the verandah. Our hang out was mostly at the restaurant on site, which became our "watering hole" Barbara and Dave, the owners, were very accommodating and entertaining. The meals prepared were scrumptious and had that island flare! Here we met members of the community like Simon and Devanno who were truly entertaining. We also met the island's Administrator and the Chief Councillor of Acklins, a nearby island. The accommodations were clean and tidy. Covid regulations; social distancing and disinfecting, were practiced all around us. Dave took us on a fishing trip, and we were able to enjoy our catch for dinner. Can't wait to visit Crooked Island and Nature's Delight again!
A serene stretch of secluded beach is visible, featuring soft, pale sand bordered by gentle waves. Lush greenery lines the shore, and a clear sky with scattered clouds adds to the peaceful setting. The scene conveys an untouched natural environment.

Tropical 2 Bedroom Getaway!

Peaceful location with white sandbeach across the quiet street. Great base for our fishing trip. We understand how difficult it is to maintain a first class home in a remote location so well done! Olivia made sure we had everything we needed, and was always happy and very helpful. Thank you!
A serene beach view is presented, featuring soft turquoise waters gently meeting a clear shoreline. The shallow water reveals a sandy bottom, while distant islands are visible against a bright blue sky adorned with a few clouds.

Queen Double Bedroom, Chester's Bay Bonefish Lodge

I think that some of the earlier reviews missed the mark. First, to clarify, Denise is an agent that helps Wendell and Alice with Airbnb bookings since they are not online. I went to Wendell and Alice's because I wanted to experience what it was like to stay with some local Bahamians in a small settlement in a remote island. I got exactly that and am very happy for it. Wendell and Alice and their semi permanent guest Alfred (minister refurbishing the Church next door) are the salt of the earth. The bay / beach is a 30 second walk from your room. It is all shallows with a particularly shallow bar that runs ~2 miles North to the island. It can be seen from satellite imagery - halfway in between where Chester's Bonefish lodge and Acklins Bonefish club show up on Google Earth. This bar would make a fantastic start place for kiteboarding or windsurfing - super clean air and waist deep flat water for a long long way. The bay is surrounded by sandy beaches so if one did lose some gear it would wash up unscathed. The rooms are clean and the art is nice. Colorful painting everywhere. This place is quite something despite being underwater in 2015 in hurricane Joaquin. So don't go here if you are looking for a resort atmosphere. The tap water is brackish. There is no internet (at this time anyhow). The food is what a local would eat, including local grouper and conch. If you want local culture in a really wild and beautiful remote place, this fits the bill.
A hammock is suspended between two trees, offering a relaxed spot to enjoy views of the ocean. Lush green foliage is visible in the foreground, complementing the serene coastal landscape and gently swaying branches in the breeze.

I would absolutely recommend David’s property to anyone needing to travel to crooked island, very convenient location just minutes from the airport, a restaurant on property with great food. David is a great host and made me feel right at home.
