We had a great stay. The place and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Looked like the photos. Hostess was super friendly and helpful.

Great experience. This was my first Airbnb stay. I was skeptical while booking but everything was above my expectations. We just loved it. It's also a new property with all basic amenities.

The house where the apartment is located is in the second row to the beach. There are many restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby. The apartment is on the second floor and has a small balcony overlooking a well-kept courtyard with a large mango tree and many other plants. We enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable in the apartment.

We felt so warmly welcome and spoilt by the wonderful Meera, Shana and their lovely family that we felt immediately like at home. They would go out of their way to make us feel comfortable, nothing was too much trouble and everything felt at ease. We had a bumpy journey/arrival to Mauritius as our flight got cancelled and rescheduled to another day and despite arriving very late hours we were so warmly received and offered breakfast the next day (we were exhausted and did not have any grocery shopping done yet so that was super kind). One evening we got treated to a delicious home made Mauritian dinner prepared by Meera. You will stay in our ♥️ If we come to the area again in future we would stay here again. Thank you so much for your kind and amazing hospitality ❤️

The apartment is fantastic, it was at a great location. We visited several beaches but the one around the place is one of the most beautiful ones. The apartment is well equipped, we really felt like being at home. We got absolutely clear instructions in a timely manner. We had a really super stay here in Mauritius.

Simply fantastic. We stayed for six weeks, but it wasn’t enough :-). Geraldine and Jean are very kind and helpful hosts, and everything was perfectly arranged. Communication was beyond excellent. They were always willing to help and advise us with everything, from the transfer to renting a vehicle. I highly recommend renting through Geraldine you’ll get a much better price than at rental companies. Early and late check-in/out was a huge help for us. The apartment was beautiful, exactly like in the photos. You have to experience the ocean and beaches to truly understand them. The nearby Mont Choisy beach was unbelievable. Reliable internet connection. What I must emphasize is the generator. It’s not mentioned anywhere, but power outages happen relatively often in Mauritius. Since the apartment has a generator, electricity is always available. This is by no means a standard feature.

This was our second stay at Shangri-La, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. Francine’s stunning villa is truly a gem, and we’re already looking forward to staying here again someday. Francine is an exceptional host - warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any questions or needs. Shangri-La holds a special place in our hearts as the setting for so many wonderful memories. The villa itself is beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped with an array of amenities, making for an incredibly comfortable and hassle-free stay. The location only adds to its charm, offering a serene and almost magical atmosphere that makes it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning on the patio, swimming in the sea, or simply soaking in the tranquility, this place has a unique way of rejuvenating the soul. We can’t thank Francine enough for sharing her cherished family holiday home with others. Home away from home!

Michel is an adorable host, always attentive and very responsive. He was able to offer us and recommend super cool activities We really enjoyed staying in his house, very comfortable with a breathtaking view of the sea, in a quiet area. very nice terraces, garden and pool available very nice. Nice Beachfront house at the end of Beach, beautiful sunsets and full day of chill

Sharvin's place was squeaky clean and very spacious. We loved the location as it was close to chamarel, le morne, Tamarin, casela etc.. there was lots to do around. It was also close to restaurants and supermarkets. Sharvin also arranged a boat trip to see the dolphins for us and it was AMAZING! Very nice family hosting. There were some roosters from the neighbors that made some noise. But that's what you get staying in a village in Mauritius.

Our family group of 6 adults and 5 children had a great time. Catherine was extremely helpful with transfer suggestions, a cook for meals in the villa and her help with extending our stay after our airline delayed our homeward flight by a day. Our grandson fell over and gashed his head badly and she told us where to go to get stitches and even rang the clinic to make sure they would be able to do this as it was after hours.

Beautiful villa in a private residence and under surveillance. Shared pool available. Very well-equipped villa and very attentive and very responsive host. A big thank you to Venice and Robert who made our stay easier.

Rajesh's appartment has a beautiful view on the nearby river, you can even have a hint of the sunrise. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The appartment itself is quite convenient, with all amenities, and Rajesh and his wife were very kind to provide some drinks and foodstufs on our arrival. Probably one of the best options for a rental on the east coast.

A real slice of heaven… everything matched the photos and descriptions of the listing… even better!😊 A beautiful villa tastefully decorated with an amazing view… we were spoiled by the weather and this little wind more present in the east of the island was very pleasant with the heat. Quieter little swimming spots allow you to cool off and enjoy a wild and so authentic beach. What absolute calm! The welcome by Sophie was great, very attentive and responsive. Thanks to her! Rati is a gem, she concocted good little Mauritian dishes for us every day... a beautiful discovery. Rati is very available, discreet and always smiling to make our vacation even more beautiful. Thank you!

As shown in the picture, the swimming pool in front of the beach is wonderful. The waves on the beach in front of the accommodation are calm, making it great for children to play. It was especially great to take wonderful pictures on nice weather days. Although the cleaning service was insufficient because it was the Mauritius holiday, it was inevitable because it was a holiday. Instead, I enjoyed a very comfortable six-day vacation because the host always gave me kind and prompt notification. I am planning to visit Mauritius again in March next year, and I would like to stay here again. All of my family loved this accommodation so much.

Maria’s apartment is obviously a property used by herself. It made our stay easy as apartment from putting food in the fridge everything was there. Three aircon units and fans. Large water containers provided. Comfortable beds and a lovely balcony up with the coconuts. The view of the sea and the reef is stunning. The gate from the premises gave us immediate access to the beach and within 350 yards at least 19 restaurants with lovely food. Maria also put us in touch with a local taxi driver who also supplied hire cars. We had a lovely economical 4 door auto for £20 per day. Couldn’t have been happier.

what a gem of a place. easy parking, easy self access arrival. stunning beach right nearby. at the end of the flic en flac restaurant strip so perfect location really. perfectly serviceable supermarket with good opening hours in town too. ian answered all our questions and helped us out great!

Such a luxurious quiet apartment. We fitted with all our kids very comfortably and all slept so well every night for a week. Walkable to a great bakery, restaurants and cafe and the pool was so close to apartment which made it very easy. We will definitely be back again as the host and location and apartment were all amazing.

We’re a family of five and have kids between 2yrs and 7 yrs. It was the perfect place to stay at, Sarah and Rebecca were very friendly and helpful. We can 100% recommend this Airbnb if you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay. It’s very modern and has all the things you need. We recommend getting a rental car during the stay here. I’d love to come back if we’re ever planning on staying in grand baie again!
