We had an amazing stay at this place shared between the three of us. Plenty of space and the host was always very responsive and proactive to help us with anything we needed. Everything about this place made our stay in Chiang Rai extremely comfortable and memorable. Only issue we ever had with the place was that the water in the shower didn't get very hot. it was still a tolerable temperature though, so not too big of an issue. Overall, we loved this spot, would recommend and definitely come back again! 😁😎

Buathip's place is that rarest of gems. It feels rural and peaceful at the same time as it is comfortable, updated, and surrounded by nature. The overall 'vibe' in both homes on the property is welcoming and yet not intrusive, surrounded by more greenery and vegetation than anywhere else I have ever stayed in Thailand. One can practice yoga in the morning while looking out over the large pond and up into the durian trees, or hike up the surrounding hills. past an array of vegetation, including of course banana trees, and all manner of flora and even fauna There is even a lovely temple within a few meters of Ban San Homestay. If you want to venture slightly further afield, the town of Maechan is a relatively short (2 kilometre) walk or motorbike ride, with a range of outdoor markets. Maechan even has a once-weekly Friday afternoon and evening farmer's market. If you are thinking of a bucolic, pastoral setting to experience northern Thailand, then you have already found it right here.
A modern living room features a light-colored sofa facing a wall-mounted television. Exposed brick accents enhance the space, complemented by light gray curtains framing large windows. A subtle ceiling fan provides ambient airflow, and a minimalist shelf holds decorative items.

A lovely, quiet place with a view of the mountains. It felt like visiting relatives in the countryside for the weekend - everything was so cozy and nice. The place is dog-friendly, and there is a huge area next to the farm for walking or riding bikes. My husband and I stayed here for only one night, but we think it’s worth staying at least three days. Thank you very much for the hospitality🙏🏻

We loved hanging out at Simon’s delightfully individual home. We had the whole place to ourselves (Simon was away), but Simon was always available. He made all the arrangements for us to be picked up, communication worked perfectly. We didn’t have our own wheels for the two days, which was not a problem, but if you want to explore the lovely area it’s probably a good idea. Simon’s dogs and cats became our friends for 48hrs. We loved to sit by the pool and listen to birdsong and look at the stars. Our stay was a well-needed respite from the cities of Thailand. Would love to come back one day!

Unsuccessful check in because of wrong location. It was more coincidentally that the host couldn't pick up the phone on the plane that day, and this time I was really looking forward to staying at the tower.Host checked out my room fee after seeing the information the next day, very trustworthy host.

Lanna Chapel Villa

LeahRating, 5 stars17 months ago
The chapel is truly breathtaking. I was unwell and unable to explore around the area as much as I would have liked, but the space was superbly comfortable with an excellent shower. Things to note; you’re in a rural area with lots of farm lands, which means the regular sound of noise cannons, also, maps is a little erratic. There seemed to be a good market up the road as well. Thanks again for having us. :)
