A place like this is not often encountered on Airbnb. A log cabin over 130 years old in the heritage landscape of Suvio takes its residents on a time trip to a 19th-century hut village. The property is best suited for a lover of Lapland's nature, history, and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter and no mosquitoes in the summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

In winter, you can walk on the ice. 17 km to the airport, 13 km to the nearest City market and 17 km to the city center. The host lives in the same yard. Guests are allowed to move freely in the yard. The neighbors' yards are private.

Cottage in the middle of nature

Our cabin offers a comfortable and relaxing vacation spot. The cottage is an excellent place to enjoy the beauty and peace of nature. Around the cabin there are forests and the paths of the national park is close by. Perfect place to enjoy fresh air and the starry sky, sometimes even the northern lights. The cottage is located more than 2 kilometres away from the nearest services and there is no public transportation to the center of Luosto from the cottage. We recommend coming with a car.

Illuminated ski slope and fitness trail 100 m, spa, restaurants, etc. Luosto services 2.2 – 2.5 km. Amethyst mine 7 km. Kitchen, bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with 2 beds (access to this bedroom via the porch), loft with 1 bed (width 120 cm), sauna, shower room/toilet, plus a separate toilet and a covered terrace.

Enjoy Lapland! We have only one igloo in our garden and it is one of a kind! You may also use the garden around for winter fun activities. We have sledges and shuffles for your use. Our igloos are 32m² in size and can accommodate two to four persons. The motorized double bed is directly under the glass ceiling. Separate extra beds are made from the sofa. All igloos are equipped with a toilet and a shower, a TV, a drying cabinet for outdoor clothing. All rooms have a well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, cooking hobs, dinnerware and cutlery, a kettle, a coffee maker, a microwave oven and a dishwasher.
