We have restored an ancient bread oven on our little farm to make a cosy retreat in a quiet corner of the Dordogne. The kitchen and bathroom combine modern fittings with ancient beams and stonework while the comfortable sitting room features a log burning stove and the original paddle for the old bread oven, found when we started the renovation work. It is an ideal base for an active holiday (many options nearby)but the nightlife consists of sharing the stars with the owls and a bottle of wine.

Cottage en bois 1 chambre et un séjour avec canapé lit. Un romantisme à toute épreuve grâce aux bougies que l'on peut installer sur la grande terrasse surélevée de 20 m2, semi couverte, donnant sur un jardin à l'anglaise. Une seconde terrasse pour apprécier le coucher du soleil. Le cottage est situé au bord d'un ruisseau, face à un moulin. L'ambiance est assurée avec le ronron de la roue du moulin. Le Cottage est un écrin de verdure à proximité des châteaux, de l'eau et des terrains de randos.

Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.
