A Beautiful lrish Country House

TrudieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a wonderful stay to celebrate my mums 60th birthday. Fiona was so helpful and kind from the start, even leaving a card for my Mum which was a lovely touch! House is beautiful, in a very quiet rural location but only a small car journey to town. Lots to do in the local area. Definitely recommend for a family break!

Key Cottage, Lough Key, Co. Roscommon

RoslynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a gem! It truly exceeded our already positive expectations. It was quite a spacious, beautifully crafted home with gorgeous views from the large windows, comfy beds, and so many lovely details - thick towels, plenty of books and board games, all the kitchen items you might need, even good, sharp kitchen knives and aged balsamic in the cupboard! Justina was friendly and truly hospitable and informative. There were even welcome treats of milk, wine, and fresh eggs and salad greens from the hosts' organic farm. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more!

We had the best time at Marcus’ place and will definitely be staying again in the near future! Could not recommend it enough! If you’re looking for beautiful scenery, great location and amazing host you have to stay here! From the start to the end Marcus and Lee were brilliant, responded right away to messages, gave clear instructions on arrival and very friendly guys. Whole family loved the place which was amazing. It’s also 20 minutes from Sligo and 30 to Rosses Point with one of the best beaches in Ireland. Thank you again Marcus and Lee

Éada Valley Cottage

Alex & AnnaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
An absolute hidden gem. My wife and I have to thank the owners who have so lovingly restored this old cottage (to include all modern comforts and conveniences) for sharing their little slice of heaven with us. We see it as an act of generosity. The cottage is straight out of an Irish postcard, surrounded by verdant fields and watched over by the magical tabletop mountains which guard the area. It could not be more perfect. Additionally, the company which manages the rental was amazing. The cottage is well stocked, cared for, and clean. Communication was nearly instantaneous and entry instructions and house do’s and don’ts cleverly explained through a YouTube video. Why don’t they all do that?! Thank you to Crusader Cabins. Keep up the good work. To the owners: they are well worth whatever commission they earn!

Drumleague Canal Bank House

MajaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped house that our host Philip arranged for us (due to the power loss cause by a storm in the original house, Philip suggested a Carrick self catering house in Carrick-on-Shannon). Located right in the center, we had a private parking, pubs and restaurants at our doorstep and a view on the beautiful Carrick marina. Philip was very friendly and helped us feel super welcome. All in all, a nice cosy house in a perfect central location.

Carrick on Shannon Luxury Waterside Apartment

GarryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I haven’t used Airbnb much after a bad experience but when Karen’s apartment came up on a search even though it wasn’t in our first choice location this being in Carrick on Shannon & we were looking for Sligo, I knew it would be ideal for our group & it was. The apartment was very clean & had everything you could want for both a weekend & much longer stay. Waking up overlooking the marina was a big plus. It was in a very convenient location being next door to a decent supermarket, cinema, restaurant, cafe, pub & only a 5 min walk to town. The town of Carrick on Shannon has so many great pubs & restaurants for a great night out it can’t be beaten. Karen the host was very flexible on check in times, extremely friendly & helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the area & some great recommendations. I will definitely be looking to book this place again & our group all agreed it was the best Airbnb any of us have stayed in. Thanks again Karen

Ita's place is in a perfect, quiet location, the place was spotless when we arrived, and she always responded quickly whenever we had a question. The pictures don't do it justice 100%, it's far more spacious than it looks. Easy to access with vehicle, road up to the house is properly taken care of. Many beautiful sunsets we're seen on our stay as well - great views from the living room. Internet is fast. Not much else to say, our stay was perfect. Thanks again Ita!

Fionnouala and Damien were outstanding hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Also Bert the dog was so charming and playful. The accomodation was cosy and provided everything needed for self catering. The bed was super comfortable and ensured a great sleep. The property is in a quiet area with beautiful mountain views. Close for drives to Mullaghmore, Yeats country, Bundoran, Ross’s Point, Donegal and Sligo. Just a short drive away to the local pub. We highly recommend Finnouala’s place for a Sligo County stay.

Marina view apartment Carrick-on-Shannon

Kevin JamesRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A really lovely, clean and spacious apartment in a superb location looking directly out onto the Shannon. A nice quiet spot with Glancy's Bar close by and the rest of Carrick just a short walk over the bridge. The apartment is immaculate and very stylish and Susan left us with fresh milk, orange juice, chocolate, tea, coffee, etc. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and plenty of storage space. Contact with Susan was great, initially using Airbnb messaging and then by phone and whats-app. She also left us a list of pubs, restaurants and things to do. We thought the cost was quite high but it's not bad when split between the 5 of us and it's on a par with whatever else is available in Carrick - and we were lucky to get it because there wasn't that much available - Carrick is a very popular place! Overall we had a fantastic stay, wouldn't hesitate to recommend Susan and would look forward to staying again if we return.

Luxury Retreat with Shannon View

BenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our stay the location is great you can easily walk to downtown Carrick and the pier is right across the street. The WiFi was reliable and fast and Chris was accommodating to our needs traveling with a baby. We noticed the bedroom near the street was a little noisy at times but it wasn’t a big deal. There is a little market downstairs that was great for grocery runs. We also loved driving 15 minutes to Lough Key park and Boyle Abby.

V impressed with Aidans place//right beside the Restaurant we were eating in,and across the road from the pub—Spotlessly clean-big enough for a family of 4-Big clean bathroom—we had intended going out to eat for breakfast—but because there was tea/sugar etc,got milk/breads at nearby “Garage shop”-and “ate in”— following on Aidans ‘s helpful recommendations ,we went to the “stairway to heaven “at Cuilcagh Nationa Park today ,which was beautiful—Thanks Aidan!

We were in Knockvicar to research our family roots so Anne's place was perfect because we could access all the local graveyards/Leitrim Heritage Centre, Ballinamore, Drumshabo music festival etc. Anne was super-helpful but also respected our privacy. She was there if needed. Loved her spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, extras left in the fridge for us on a very late arrival from Cork, esp milk and tea. Plenty of supplies in the bathroom and the place was spotless. We had two very peaceful/quiet nights of sleep and really enjoyed our stay in Knockvicar. Thank u Anne

He greeted us (with his lovely dogs) on arrival and gave some really helpful recommendations on restaurants and taxis. The place was spotless and we had everything we needed. We had the best stay and will definitely be back!
