Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Simcoe

Great place, exceptionally equipped with everything we needed. Very clean, felt right at home. Convenient to everything we had planned on doing (golf vacation).

Had a great stay during a long weekend with my girlfriend. The place was clean, the view was gorgeous, and the public access point was great for people watching. Met the owners and they were very friendly too.

We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

We loved this cottage and this is our second visit this time of the year. There is beautiful large table to serve meals, spacious kitchen with plenty of storage place and 2 fridges. Cozy atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace and an additional playroom/ family room. There is plenty of outdoor activities including walking, skiing (Sir Sam’s is nearby), cross country skiing or skating. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

What a wonderful place. If you are looking for a peace and serenity, this is your heaven. Having a well stocked convenience store nearby is an added bonus. Also, Elyse is a wonderful host, very responsive. We will definitely return.

This is the second time we stayed with here. The place was great for the get together with friends from university. We had a large group of adults. There is lots of space and things to do inside and outside as well. The weather didn't cooperate this weekend so we hung out inside most of the weekend. Lots of rooms / nooks so there was a space for everyone.. Will go back, have already booked for next year.

Had a great stay at Farah's cottage. The place was exactly as described and had some decorative touches which made the cottage even nicer. The river is fun to paddle on and neighbours were friendly. Everyone keeps at reduced boat speed so swimming was safe as long as you have a bouy with you. We enjoyed the paddle boards, bonfire outside and hot showers at the end of the day. Farah was lovely to communicate with & reliable.

We were here for our father/FIL memorial service. It was a busy, hectic, emotional time. And Anne Marie’s carriage house was a calming oasis in a stunning setting. Despite some rain, we walked along the shore every day. The space is clean, bright, beautiful with everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Thank you Anne Marie!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The best part was the spectacular view of Georgian Bay. The view of the sunrise over the lake was stunning. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, watching the swans and other birds. We also enjoyed a fire at the waterside fire pit. Not far from the beach or the slopes in winter.

Brett was an awesome host. Was always super responsive and helpful. His cottage was such a relaxing time for my family and I. The backyard was very private and great for my dog to run around in. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing, and using the fire pit!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful lakefront home! Faraz and Zahra were incredibly friendly and responsive hosts, making the entire experience smooth and welcoming. The house was spacious and perfect for our group of 8, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together. The open-concept kitchen and dining area was a highlight—ideal for cooking group meals while taking in the stunning view of the lake. We spent a lot of time out on the dock, where we could kayak, paddle board, and just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. When the weather cooled down, the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. We also loved gathering around the bonfire in the evenings. All in all, a perfect getaway spot. We would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to come back again!

This cottage is absolutely beautiful - we rented it for a family weekend get together and could not be happier. The cottage itself is very well equipped - they’ve thought of everything! And it has lots of space, a huge table to gather around as a family for meals, and lots of fun stuff for the kids to do. It’s a beautiful lake, and quiet area, we will definitely be coming back!

The location is amazing, a short walk down the trail to the public beach was a great bonus. The lake is perfect for swimming! The place felt very homey, and the nostalgia of watching a movie on VHS is so much fun. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Renee’s cottage is great, everything is just as advertised. It was a very relaxing weekend, with great fishing right off the dock! Communication super easy and Renee was extremely responsive. 10/10 would stay again.

A beautiful spot for a large group of friends, we had a great time playing tennis, basketball, and swimming in the lake. The building itself was perfect inside, lots of beds and plenty of gathering spaces. Would love to return!

We had an amazing stay at Daniel’s place! The house was super cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. My friends and I especially enjoyed the kayaking and also had fun with the pedal boat, it was such a fun and peaceful experience. The surroundings were beautiful, and we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. Daniel and the co-host were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable trip.

Spent the May long weekend here and enjoyed every moment! The place was clean, and cozy with a spectacular view! Peter was very helpful in giving suggestions on things to do & places to see. An amazing experience overall!

My family and I had a great stay at Kestas for four nights. We were a big group and found ample space for socialization and great sleeping accommodations. The cottage was a steep stairway down just as described in the listing, be mindful to unload your things and walk down the steps. The lake and the surroundings were beautiful. Kesta was a responsive host and was able to address any concerns or questions quickly. I would highly recommend booking!

Ron and crystal have a wonderful cottage that is clean and tidy as well as the outside waterfront, fire pit and surrounding areas are clean and well kept!! My daughter had a hard time leaving the chipmunks and ducks that come and visit!! It’s the perfect cottage for a back to the roots style of cottage and the relaxing calming nature that surrounds not hearing boats all day is perfect for getting back to nature!! We have rented many places over the years and this place has it all from inside amenities to outside beauty. Our family had a great time and we plan to be back next summer for our vacation spot!! For our family we have nothing negative to say about the cottage or our stay except wish we could have stayed longer lol. Thanks Ron and crystal

Becky’s cottage is perfect for a family stay in Muskoka. The cottage is incredibly well designed and appointed with tons of small touches that make the stay outstanding. Both the main cottage and side cottage provide ample space for all parties and the outdoor space from docks to patios give everyone tons of space to enjoy the outdoors.
