La Bauzeille Haute is situated at the head of a wild south-facing valley in France’s deep south, with spectacular views of the Pyrenees. The houses and grounds are enclosed by a horseshoe of oak and pine, producing a micro-climate and a place of deep tranquillity. We are just 40 minutes drive from the airport at Carcassonne and its medieval town and 20 from the carnival town of Limoux. This is the heart of Cathar country with its Castles and myths, legends and stories of Aragon and Occitan.

Chalet Salamandre

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rental.

It offers magnificent views of the surrounding vineyards and forests, ideal for walks, with views of the Pyrenees. This house is next to the Belgian owners' central farm, but is entirely private. During your stay, you can enjoy free wine tasting and a tour of the winery.
