Such a peaceful, beautiful, and tranquil getaway! Although we didn’t end up staying the night, the place was pure serenity, and the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Set under an oak tree with views of the farm and hills, Hart cottage is a beautifully restored piece of history filled with fascinating heirlooms and period pieces. Alison was careful to ensure we had a good understanding of the layout of the property and we enjoyed the easy heritage walk and stroll up to the intake. She was also generous with tips on the nearby towns and kept us supplied with firewood so we stayed warm on the chilly winter's evenings
