Lake side cottage rentals in Kushog Lake

We flew out from BC to reunite with family. The cottage had all the amenities to feel right at home and make the stay convenient. The location was beautiful and recreational equipment was provided to enjoy the outdoor cottage life experience. Being outdoorsy we really enjoyed casting lines and canoeing on horseshoe lake. What a great place. Stephen was fantastic and a great communicator. The place was lovely. Bright, comfortable and cozy. We felt at home right away. Loved the outdoor space, the view and the chairs right by the water. The ice had just gone out so we couldn't swim, but we all talked about how great it would be to swim off that dock and use all the water toys. We all agreed it was the perfect getaway. We also all agreed that Stephen has thought of everything - clear instructions, great notices, all the things you need in a kitchen etc. It is clear that he knows what he is doing!

Very responsive host, easy to communicate with! When something is missed by the cleaner, frank was able to help us with solution. The place is very quiet and peaceful, very recommend for small families.

We booked Leigh's cottage at the last minute for our 37th wedding anniversary. She was very prompt in responding and answered all our questions immediately. From the moment we walked in we knew our stay was going to be special. Clear and pricise instructions on how to use everything in the home. So much so that we had no issues and didn't need to contact her throughout our stay as the manuals provides were very clear. The cottage is well appointed with everything you need. Exactly as described BUT even better. Beautiful open concept with a very comfortable feeling. The back of the cottage facing the river has slidding doors the entire wall so the outside comes in. There is a cute gazebo right on the water which was a lovely setting for a special dinner. The hot tube was the icing on the cake! Right off the master bedroom and private. I can't say enough about how spotless this place is. Every room is tastefully decorated and bed was super comfy. We will definately come back!

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

Such an awesome stay! The cottage was super cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The lakefront views were even better in person — we spent so much time just hanging out on the deck and by the water. It was the perfect spot to relax and unplug. The hosts were super friendly and made everything really easy. Honestly didn’t want to leave. Definitely coming back!

My family couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. As far as bang for your buck goes you can’t do better. Andrew and Hali were exceptional hosts, very responsive and helpful anytime we had questions. Everything was very clean, bedrooms and furniture throughout were very comfortable. My boys would absolutely love to come back, and we’d highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a seamless experience on a beautiful lake. Thank you for such a great experience!

We had an amazing stay at Navid’s place! I came with two of my girlfriends and from the moment we arrived, it felt like home. The cottage is cozy, modern, and beautifully designed—literally everything you could possibly think of is available. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and Navid was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We genuinely didn’t want to leave and are already planning to come back soon. Highly recommend!

This was our family's second stay at the house. The cottage has everything you can ask for, all the amenities a beautiful waterfront and all comforts. Not to mention two saunas and a hot tub. Steve and Irena are great hosts and make us feel right at home every time we stay over. It's always a very enjoyable stay!

We had ten people stay at the property, and we all had a great time. The house is spacious with lots of activities. There are a ton of board games, ping pong table, pool table, darts, the kids and adults enjoyed it all. We all loved being right on the water and spent hours on the dock, kayaking, pedal boating, and fishing. The house is clean, super well stocked with all the dishes and utensils you may need, with well working central air conditioning , and screen doors that kept the bugs out. We have a one year old daughter, and I was happy to see that there was a crib, high chair, and baby plates. Although the decor is not modern, we loved the rustic charm of the space, and loved how open and airy it was. The kids also loved the smart TVs, they enjoyed Netflix, and watched the Olympics opening ceremonies. All in all, everyone left very satisfied hoping to come to this cottage again next year for a longer stay. Thank you for a great experience!

We had a great time. Sir Sam’s ski hill nearby. Hot tub was great for those days when ski hill was not an option. There is fast internet at the cottage. Very private and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved this cottage and this is our second visit this time of the year. There is beautiful large table to serve meals, spacious kitchen with plenty of storage place and 2 fridges. Cozy atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace and an additional playroom/ family room. There is plenty of outdoor activities including walking, skiing (Sir Sam’s is nearby), cross country skiing or skating. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Had a very nice weekend at Christina's cottage. The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable to hang out in. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and there's a grocery store 10min away that had everything we needed. There's also a decent restaurant just a block away when we didn't feel like cooking. A few things weren't functioning due to the big ice storm just a few days earlier, but Christina was quick to respond to messages and had someone there to fix things within the hour. There was a little more snow still around than I expected for April, so we didn't use the outdoor amenities very much, but the sauna was still really nice. Port Carling is pretty quiet this time of year, but we did find a few nice hikes nearby to enjoy the scenery.

Cottage is gorgeous - lake is beautiful - house is pristine - kitchen is perfect for someone who cooks everyday (don’t want to cook? Get a pizza delivered or drive 10 minutes to a selection of local small restaurants) - windows in master bedroom and ground floor make sunrise and sunset just perfect - there isn’t a thing missing at this place. Just pack your bag and go. Host is as friendly and kind as they come. Thanks so much for having us - looking forward to staying again, or booking at one of your other properties 😊

We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

Everything about this stay was so beautiful and perfect. We visited during October and all the fall colours were on full display, so gorgeous. Absolutely zero complaints, the bed was comfy, the incinerator toilet was easy to figure out, the shower was warm, Tammy was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend staying here, so much to do in the surrounding areas as well.

Great place for winter, very peaceful. The size fits 6 people comfortably and is well equipped for everything we needed. The best part is the Scenic view of the lake and forest from the living room.

Definitely recommend this cottage to everyone my family and I had an amazing time it was so beautiful I love the scenery especially in the winter wow 20x more gorgeous it was awesome, lot of thing to do, the fire was so nice! This cottage is more beautiful than it looks in the pics. Such a beautiful scenery and you get to see the deers too sometimes. Very clean and well maintained place with everything you need. Sauna was great too - only wish they had a hot tub too! Ningning was always very responsive and helpful. Thanks for the wonderful weekend!

this place will help you sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful view!!. not far from bobcageon to do a little shopping!! kawartha dairies is in bobcageon which was a highlight for us!! Best icecream in the world. fenelon falls is also super close by. we loved this cabin it was so cute and loved all the old vintage touches.!!
