Syun’s place was in an amazing location so close to Kyoto Station. There is a 7/11 round the corner. The accommodation was very comfortable and very clean. I would definitely stay here again on visiting Kyoto.

“Tsubara”-calm traditional Kyoto Machiya house

KatieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our family of four (two adults and 11-year old and 14-year old) stayed at Koji and Eri's wonderful house for two nights in Kyoto. It was exactly what we were looking for: old school charm, space to relax, and convenient (yet quiet) location. The bath and small outdoor garden were a delight for relaxing after long days of sightseeing. The house is also nearby one of the main sightseeing train lines for easy access to Fushimi Inari and other sights. There was enough space for us to spread out with several separate rooms. Eri met us at the house and showed us genuine omotenashi. She made recommendations for some nearby must-see temples and made a reservation for a nearby restaurant for that evening. I highly recommend staying here for any couple or family visiting Kyoto seeing a charming stay in Kyoto.

BEST GION LOCATION, LUXURY, QUIET VACATION RENTAL

CaseyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Really lovely stay! It was very clean. Many towels, pillows, blankets were provided. It was a fairly quiet area. The air conditioning was great. Would recommend this location if you are trying to stay closer to Gion. It is further from the train station, but everything is pretty spread out in Kyoto.

TaylorRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Great deal for those with large groups visiting Osaka! The Castle is very spacious and clean in both the individual rooms and the shared spaces, we had 11 people and there was still plenty of space. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but still within a 10/15 min walk to two metro stations that can take you anywhere you’re going in the city. There are also many shops and restaurants within walking distance, including a 7/11 right around the corner! Overall great experience at this location.

We had a great stay in Kyoto. The apartment was exactly as described, and even more spacious than we anticipated. The location was excellent, with easy access to public transit and walkable to many attractions. Check-in was easy and the host was always responsive. This was a perfect place for five days in Kyoto!

JR Teradacho! 8 mins walk.

JosephRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our family of 6 had a great stay and would happily return. The place is large and comfortable, filled with lots of helpful extras and supplies. Everything worked well and it had a homey feel. It's less than a block away from a somewhat busy street so you will hear a little traffic noise, but it did not bother me and I'm pretty noise-sensitive. Host was wonderful with enabling an early check-in. We also rented a near-new house in the same neighborhood but liked Shino's place better.

【Cozy】Kyoto station 5 min walk 2-storey Netflex

RandyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Thank you so much for the lovely stay. The host is so thoughtful. There was even a sewing kit in the table. I was easily able to fix it when my son ripped a hole in his pants. I feel like the host has thought of everything that you could need for your stay. You can tell that the host is a very considerate person by all of these things. The location is very convenient. You can walk to Kyoto Station in about 5 minutes. It is very easy to get around the city from here. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom and our three children stayed upstairs. The kitchen is small, but it was more than enough to cook breakfast in the morning. There is a very convenient super market nearby that is open until 10 p.m. We stayed for 1 week and had no problems. The only inconvenience was that things are a little short, so we had to be careful not to bump our heads. My son hit his head a few times. We were very happy to stay here.

Amazinghouse, quiet house for long holidays is BEST

Very homey, great communication, close to the river, restaurants, and transportation. Mio posted easy-to-follow instructions for the washer, hot water, etc. Would love to return! One thing to be aware of; it turns out the alley that the home is on is ACROSS the street from the 7-11, not on the same side of the street.

118 y/o traditional Japanese house in Arashiyama

MindyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was out favorite stay while we were in Japan. The hosts are amazing and super responsive and the house has everything you could possibly need. The separate washer and dryer was awesome and worked perfectly for our family. We ended up cooking breakfast in, as the kitchen is well equipped with everything you needed including coffee and sugar! It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of central Kyoto but walkable to the river, Monkey Park, temples, shops, and restaurants. If this spot is available, don't hesitate and book it!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

The beds were very comfortable! The washer and dryer is also a big plus! We also loved that it was so close to the train station, a large mall, and several grocery stores. We loved the hosts. ✩Big modern family home, access to downtown Osaka

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Traveling to a new country for the first time can be intimidating, but arriving at a welcoming home can significantly ease your nerves. That’s exactly what we found when we arrived at this spacious and accessible house for our group of five adults. The location is not too close to the bustling Osaka areas, but it’s just enough to provide a relaxing oasis after a day of exploring. I want to express my gratitude to Jess and her family for going above and beyond what is expected by an Airbnb host, even helping us prepare for our next destination. If I ever have the opportunity to visit again, I will definitely be returning to this place.

Limited to 1 stay!Located a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Station!I also recommend it for sightseeing!

SandraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Kiyomi’s Airbnb in Kyoto was fantastic! The location is unbeatable—just a few minutes walk to Kyoto station! It was neat and tidy and had everything we needed (except conditioner which my hair absolutely needs. But it’s ok I just bought a small one). 7-11 is a 1 minute walk and it sells everything you could need. The rooms upstairs were super cool with tatami and Japanese decor. The only concern I would have is the very steep stairs. They were fine for us but wouldn’t be safe for elderly or kids. But I’m pretty sure she wrote that in her description. All in all, I would highly recommend this Airbnb!!

Max 30 people, a charming cluster of 5 houses, 宇庵花

StevenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are a group of 7 people traveling to Kyoto for the first time. This listing contains 5 different houses and the one we stayed at is the Hana house. Note the Hana house has 1 shower/tub room, and 1 toilet room but we made it work! The house has a spacious living room and was a great space for us to gather after a full day of sightseeing. There is a Lawson and Family mart that is a few minutes walk from the house. You can get to many temples and shrines by feet including the Kyomizu-dera and the shopping street, all within 20 - 30 minutes. The host was very nice and gave us great tips and information on local recommendations.

AddieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had a lovely stay at Luana's place. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I really appreciated the instruction booklet to help operate the TV and washing machine. Just be aware there are 2 very steep flights of stairs to go up which can be quite challenging with bigger bags. I would recommend utilising their service for assistance here if possible. Very convenient location in a nice neighbourhood. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

Spacious 198m2/2BA/Namba Osaka 20min/Station 2min

MayraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house is amazing and spacious! It’s as if you took home with you. The location is perfect—just 5 minutes walking to the train and little konbinis. The washer and dryer were impressively efficient—about 30 min each load. The baths are amazing no matter which one you use—the water pressure is so strong and soothing after a long day of walking! (Personally, I loved the tub.) Each room is cozy and has its charm, and has soft, clean beds. The kitchen was sufficiently supplied for both instant meal reheating and home cooking. Instructions were clear for recycling. Overall, a wonderful place I’d come back to. My family loved this place—hoping to book Huddleston home when I return with friends. Thank you, Chad and Jennifer!
