Guesthouse Yamabuki Private Room

Arriving in the small town I had a walk through cute narrow alleys surrounded by beautiful old building to the Nithins and Ries guesthouse. So even if it's a bit off a walk I enjoyed the walk through the quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Upon arriving, Nithin welcomed me in the small front yard and showed me around, introducing me to their house. The place is very new, very tidy and well organized. the the room I was in is very bright, with flawless interior - including feet- and eye-flattering tatami - and a comfortable futon-style bed. The kitchen and bathroom are fun, all in all I felt very comfortable living in and using the guesthouse. On the first day Nithin and Rie invited me for a little get-to-know-each-other over having tea - they even prepared a little menu - and perfectly delicious self-made cake. During this and every other brief meeting I felt welcomed and being cared after. So here you have a decent home in a peaceful area with nice hosts. Warm recommendations.

Mr. Masashi is very communicative, friendly, kind, and patient. He always offered helpful tips and recommendations on places to visit, such as the hot spring, Umami Hill Park, the local supermarket, a sushi restaurant, and the library. The area around the library was especially beautiful, with cherry blossom trees in full bloom. As we walked uphill toward Don Quijote, we also came across a small park where lanterns were hanging along the cherry blossom trees — it looked magical at night when the lanterns were lit. We also really enjoyed the barbecue dinner with him; the assortment of meats, sides, and drinks he prepared for us was absolutely delicious. All in all, we had a wonderful time at this Airbnb and would gladly stay here again.

Room 2C (1-3 guests) is the best relaxing accommodation for those who want to play in Osaka and Nara the next day

I had a great time at the guesthouse. TT was very welcoming, everything is well organized and he put a lot of effort to explain everything very well, both spoken and written in the 'manual' and on the labels at the necessary places (for example an english translation next to the controls of the toilet). The house is charming, the rooms are traditional japanese style with comfy tatami on the ground and a simple but very comfortable futon style bed. We had some nice evenings together with and without other guests, sitting in the kitchen, drinking Sake, having interesting talks, playing guitar and singing. His two little dogs are very lively and cute and like to be around. the area is very calm (except for the trains, which pass by very near) and I had a pleasant time hiking in the mountains and in the forest. I can highly recommend this place if you search for a private atmosphere, far away from the bustling city center but also close enough to reach Osaka in 45 minutes by local train
A traditional building is showcased with a distinct roof design featuring ornate gold accents and intricate wooden details. Several steps lead up to the entrance, enhancing the structure's architectural depth. Surrounding greenery complements the setting, creating a serene atmosphere.

small but tidy apartment close to nature and some historical sites include kashihara jingu and several 5th century kofun which u can ride the bicycle to explore. both bed and floor are very clean. quick response. grocery store and convenience store not too far away once u figured out the direction. tiny bathroom+toilet and be careful with the old style hot water tap. some distant away seems to be a beer warehouse so there would be some noise loading stuff
