⭐Stunning⭐ Cottage with Hot Tub

HollieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

The Old School House, luxury home with hot tub.

AlanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Thank you, Elizabeth, for a great weekend! The Old School House was fantastic. The house was impeccably clean and well-stocked with everything we could possibly need, and we felt right at home. Elizabeth provided great local tips although the unkind weather limited what we could do. But this meant more time for the fabulous hot-tub. The comfortable lounge was a great place for the family to chill and chat in the evenings - I don't think the TV was turned on at all. Just a great place to stay. Can't recommend highly enough.
A wooden gate is framed by lush greenery, leading to a gravel driveway. The charming cottage can be glimpsed in the background, surrounded by well-maintained gardens and trees. The entrance is welcoming and evokes a sense of privacy and tranquility.

Little Meadow

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What an amazing place! Susan’s home was lovely and located on a beautiful dairy farm. We were immediately welcome by her cats Lucky and Clover (who we adopted for our stay). Susan was always available to answer our questions and took us on a tour of the farm to meet the cows. The house was about 7 minutes from a great village called cockermouth which had pubs, restaurants and many bakeries. A little further and you are in keswick which is one of the bigger towns. We took a boat from there across derwentwater to the famous Catbells and also took a rowboat out on the lake. We also went for a beautiful walk around buttermere lake and a hike into the borrowdale valley. And we even popped over the border into Scotland. It was an amazing trip and a wonderful place to stay. Thank you Susan!!

The Stables was perfect for our stay, it was so peaceful, impeccably clean and super comfy. We were welcomed by Margaret who had been so attentive and responsive to our messages leading up to our stay. 10/10 would recommend to anyone to stay here - the Distillery tour and cafe next door are also a fabulous addition to an already wonderful holiday cottage.

Quirky, modern, 2 bed cottage with parking

JacquelineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very enjoyable stay in this cottage, hidden away in the centre of Keswick. The accommodation has everything you need and was very clean. All the windows opened (always a plus). The location couldn't be more convenient for Keswick... literally 2 minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Onsite parking is a bonus in Keswick although I did find it a bit tight to manage the turn under the arch with my Audi Q5. Smaller cars should find it easier. Make sure you follow Sandra's (very clear) directions to the letter. Not only does she ensure you navigate the one-way system correctly, she will also direct away from the crowded side streets which can be a nightmare with cars parked continuously on both sides of the road. If you want to stay in town this place is ideal for you. Sandra answered all my questions promptly and seemed genuinely concerned to ensure we had a good time.

Great family house for 6, parking , accepts 1 dog

CarolRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We were four separate, senior girlfriends and had enough room and enjoyed the location and easy communication with Elisabeth. We had an issue that Elizabeth helped us to resolve. The location is wonderful for enjoying the town or walking straight from the house to and around the lake, driving or walking to Castlerigg stone circle or heading out on an adventure which we did when we drove to Buttermere and then onto St. Bee’s through the windy country roads! The home had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We would have enjoyed a higher quality set of linens in the bedrooms and bath towels as well but for a four night stay everything was fine. I recommend staying at Elisabeth’s home in Keswick.

55 Barend Holiday Lodges: free swimming and golf

LeeanneRating, 5 stars56 months ago
What a lovely, lovely place to stay. The lodge manages to be both cosy and spacious at the same time. There are three really nice bedrooms plus three bathrooms and the main living space is big, with plenty of space for lounging, reading, playing games or watching the tv after a day at the beach. The thing I always love when I go to stay anywhere is great bedding and the lodge was not a disappointment! The downstairs double bed had the most incredible duvet, huge and fluffy and warm - lovely for lying in bed in the morning looking at the great view from the french doors with a cup of tea. We used the swimming pool, using the booking system, which was nice. You book a session in the pool, which you have for your own use during your session. Having the pool to ourselves was a bit of a treat! There is a lovely pub on site too, although we sat outside due to the current situation, we went in to order drinks and it was really nice inside. Though no local beer, which would have been nice. The lodge is within walking distance of a really amazing, amazing beach - just beautiful. You can do lots of really great walks from the lodge, along the beach or the coastal walk, as well as through the many lovely forests in the area. We were lucky enough to see red squirrels! Despite some slight issues with communication (down to a problem with technology and not on their part) we had a wonderful time and are very much looking forward to returning. We would really recommend Barend as a wonderful place to visit, the lodge was absolutely gorgeous (did I mention the amazing duvet?!) and just a few minutes walk from the most incredible beach. A perfect trip away. We will absolutely be making a return trip

We had an absolutely superb stay at this cabin! The hosts have thought of everything—every household utensil, cleaning product, and appliance we needed was readily available. It truly felt like a home away from home. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras, like the collection of games, DVDs, and books, which made for cozy evenings indoors. The stuffed toy dogs were a lovely touch for the children, and they adored them! The cabin was spotless, and we were impressed with how well-organized everything was, including the garbage disposal system. The private pool was a fantastic addition, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Overall, this was one of the best stays we’ve had, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend!

Great cabin, very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The sofa was so comfortable we all fell asleep several times! It’s very quiet on the site which is nice and the views of the loch are lovely. The site is in a great location with the loch just a short walk away where you can enjoy a short walk round & you can also fish. The beach is a short drive away with lovely soft sand and there’s a few shops & restaurants nearby. The on site pool is available for private hire which was fantastic, we loved it. We also ate at the beagle pub which was really nice, plenty to choose from and there was colouring stuff, books & games for the kids which they enjoyed. Really reasonably priced meal as well. Would really recommend & would come again ☺️
