Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kamo River

The host -Seiko was exceptionally friendly and responsive, making check-in seamless and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was spotless, stylishly decorated, and had all the amenities we could ask for—truly a perfect home away from home! Communication was seamless throughout our stay, and she was always quick to respond to any questions. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests’ comfort and experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better host and would gladly stay again!

We had a great stay! AirBnb was conveniently located near transit stops with lots of great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

The place it’s clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated just a short distance from the main tourist attractions, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions and needs we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hassle-free and pleasant stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back in the future.

If you are looking for that ideal blend of tradition and modernity - don’t miss this awesome place! The place was so well setup and every amenity you would need is there. What makes it even sweeter is that there is a 711 bang opposite and the station is very close. I would definitely want to stay here every time I visit Kyoto! Loved it!

Ryokan muy acogedor, muy limpio e impecable. Michiko es muy atenta y amable estaba pendiente de nuestra llegada y nos mandó fotos e instrucciones para poder llegar fácilmente. Tiene muy buena ubicación para ir andando a las zonas comerciales y los barrios turísticos. Nos guardó las maletas al salir también. Un lugar increíble!

This was a beautiful traditional Japanese home in a quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for our family group of 9. Within walking distance to the bus and subway with lots of things to do in Kyoto. It's pretty centrally located to the major attractions you'll want to visit. Nijojo castle is only a 10 minute walk away. Highly recommend this place if you're in Kyoto.

Shoji and his family were exceptional hosts. They were very accommodating with our stay as well as very kind and sweet. The location was less than a 10 minute walk from several markets, restaurants, and train stations. The area has endless history and culture to enjoy as well. I appreciate and highly recommend this peaceful and welcoming stay :)

May was terrific. If you want to live like a local in a high-end apartment, this place is it. Beautifully decorated. No shoes. Proper heated bathtub. 4 floor walkup. Not a place for big suitcases as staircase is very narrow by USA standards but spacious in the rooms with large closets. The tatami bedroom is lovely. But for those who want a western bed, the 2 small singles with very firm mattresses are an alternative.

Daniel and Asami’s informative perspective of Japan and generous hospitality were exemplary. We felt very comfortable in the light and airy space that has been so thoughtfully planned for an authentic cultural experience. We had the best sleeps. The bikes were a delightful inclusion and our time was full of wonderful surprises as we rode along the river to find botanical gardens one morning as well as check out the local neighbourhood parks and restaurants. Daniel and Asami’s recommendations were endless and brilliant. We feel very grateful to have met them.

Place is so ideally for us. Just a minute walk from Fushimi Inari, you will be able to reach the place. Convenience stores are right below and 2 mins away from 7-Eleven for ATM machine

Everything was fine. They were clear and responsive when you needed it. The place was nice and peaceful—a good location between the two main stations.

Wow! We are left with no words for how great this stay was. Everything from start to finish was taken care of. Clear communications and instructions, free supplies like water, shampoo, shaving Linge etc- basically anything you could need was there. The room is pretty spacious and the bathroom and toilet are clean and big as well. Very comfortable and close to the city, we walked everywhere (except for big tourist attractions, those are a 20 mins away with subway). Amazing, thank you!!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The place was spotless, with both indoor and outdoor bathtubs that made for a truly relaxing experience. It’s incredibly cozy and well-designed, with a perfect location—just a short walk to the subway and the river. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kyoto!

Ken had the best property in all the bnb’s I stayed in Japan He was very proactive on messages and even came to meet us when we checked in He was always available with all our queries The bnb had everything what any hotel has and more He’s very good in English as well so it was easy to communicate Easy and early check in , we got our bnb at 1 pm when usually it’s 3 pm in Japan He was OK with keeping our luggage even after check out Now the BNB is absolutely stunning , the photos don’t do it much justice The lake in the front is to die for The price ken is giving the bnb is worth every penny Stayed 3 nights wish to have stayed more Ken is a complete gentleman and a kind man Would love to stay here in the future and would recommend it to everyone with their eyes closed BEST BNB STAY EVER Thank you Ken

The Kyoto apartment was well positioned, close to several bus lines and only about a five minute walk from the river and many restaurants and bars. The washing machine was appreciated and it felt more down to earth to get the experience of a proper apartment while on our travels. The hosts were very communicative and made us feel well hosted.

非常好的一次体验。距离伏见稻荷大社很近，可以早上五点去拍没人的千本鸟居。附近就有租借和服店，方便换衣服。房间非常干净，空间很大，特别是小院子很漂亮！

Le logement était très propre et bien décoré. C'est le seul appartement du 5eme étage, c'est donc très calme. Depuis la fenêtre il est possible de voir le Kiyomizu Dera. L'emplacement est très bien. Il est possible d'aller à gion et Nishiki market à pied. Plein de bon restaurant à proximité et des boulangeries, il y a aussi un fresco ouvert 24/24 en plus du 7-eleven au coin de la rue. C'était très pratique de pouvoir stationner notre Toyota sienta devant l'immeuble.

This is an extraordinary place. The location is in the heart of the buzzing Gion district, and everything easily walkable. They hosts were helpful & flexible with us leaving bags before and after. The space is unbelievable and rare. It's very spacious, which was a relief after being crammed in prior hotels. Basically it is a giant and very cool room, with attached bathroom and laundry wing. Bedding comfy. The place feels funky. It has absolutely everything you could need. It is not a shared space with anyone else, it's all yours and private. We travelled with 2 toddlers and the space was perfect. Huge room to run and climb, with plastic kitchenware, toys and books. As the host mentions, it is across the hall from a rooftop bar that can be a little noisy, but also distant bars and the district is noisy and busy in general, it was okay. It was neat and fine but could use a deep clean (it would be a hard space to keep perfect), but overall wonderful. 10/10.

The apartment was functional but also surprisingly homely and cosy - more than I imagined from the photos, also more spacious than I thought it would be, and even though it's in a central location, it was quiet at night. There's a small balcony with a washing machine and space to hang up laundry. The kitchen has everything you need. An extra bonus is having a small living room space to relax in, which a lot of these tiny japanese apartments don't have space for. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well. The location is very convenient. Near to Kyoto Station and also within walking distance of many of the attractions of the city, as well as the main shopping area. For further away places, buses, trains and underground are easily accessible. This was a lovely, clean and comfortable apartment that I would recommend. It's perfect for a solo traveller as well because it's very secure.

교토에서 가장 좋은 위치입니다. 집 앞에 버스 정류장이 있고 다양한 노선의 버스들로 이동이 쉽습니다. 관광지임에도 조용한 주변환경으로 편히 쉴수 있습니다. 일본 가옥의 분위기를 느끼기에 충분합니다. 호스트는 언제나 친절하고 빠른 응대를 해줍니다. 특히 투숙객의 입장에서 배려해주시는 점이 매우 인상깊었습니다. 다음에 교토에 오면 꼭 다시 방문하겠습니다~ 감사합니다
