Very nice cottage. The curtain rod in one of the rooms fell as soon as it touched it. There was no baking paper in the apartment. Good location, but limited parking for cars. Sauna small compared to the size of the apartment. We'll definitely be back, though.

Samusev’s accommodation is lovely (and thankfully very warm, it was -17*C outside when we stayed) - he was always very responsive and gave us lots of advice on getting transport back to Kajaani. The kitchen is well stocked and we had no issues in cooking our own food throughout our stay. The surrounding scenery (in mid-December) is very peaceful and bucolic and only a half an hour walk away from the ski slopes. I’d definitely recommend staying here :)

The cottage was in a really good location and we had a great time. The host was also flexible with the schedule, so we got to spend a peaceful New Year at the cottage.

We had an incredible stay at Esko’s place! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the lake, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for relaxation. Esko recommended fishing, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, providing the most peaceful nights we’ve ever had—ideal for a good night’s sleep. The house itself is cozy and felt just like home. When we arrived, the house was already warm and welcoming, which we deeply appreciated. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to larger cities like Rovaniemi, Oulu, and Kajaani. It’s also near ski resorts. Having sauna is amazing A short drive away, the town of Puolanka offers everything you might need. Additionally, there’s excellent connectivity in the area, so we had no issues accessing mobile internet during our stay. We highly recommend Esko’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
