Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ísafjarðarbær

We stayed in this cabin and used it as a base to explore the Westfjords. What an excellent stay we had! The place was pristinely clean and larger than what we expected after viewing the pictures. There is excellent outdoor space with patio tables on both the front and back decks. Don't be nervous about the outdoor shower...It was an excellent way to start each day! Access to town is only 5 mins by car where you find grocery stores and a few restaurants. Our host provided tons of useful info to guide our journeys and was super responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home! Also, the Westfjords are ridiculously gorgeous and made for an experience I'll never forget.

Haukur and Vaida’s home in Isafjodur was perfect to explore the area, beautifully appointed, quaint, and felt so cozy to come home to after a long day of trekking through the west fjords. The house also had the perfect bedroom for our two children, was walkable to city center, and a lovely house cat Hosa who made the stay even more enjoyable!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus von Jona ist sehr gemütlich, hat allen Komfort und nach einer Wanderung in der Nähe von Nupur konnten wir im Whirlpool super entspannen! Es ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Ausgangslage für Ausflüge in die Westfjorde (Dynjandi etc). Und wir fanden es besser als auf den Fotos dargestellt….

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and comfortable and easy to find. It was conveniently close to many things. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again. We saw the northern lights outside 2 evenings in a row. That was a nice bonus.

Die Unterkunft bietet viel Platz. Aufgeteilt auf zwei Stockwerken ist der Wohnraum sehr geräumig. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Im Badezimmer ist alles vorhanden - und auch ist reichlich Toilettenpapier vorhanden (liegt in den Schränken). Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Vermieter - Ingi und Snorri - waren stets erreichbar. Auch Vorschläge waren uns willkommen, beispielsweise in der Nacht bevorstehendes Nordlichtschauspiel. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten, zentral in den Westfjorden. Umgeben von vielen weiteren Fjorden ist es ein atemberaubendes Schauspiel der Natur. Von Nordlichtern in der Nacht, beeindruckende Wasserfälle, im Herbst eine farbenfrohe Hügellandschaft und Schwärme von Vögeln, Seehunden, Wasservögeln, und eine Stille die einen zur Ruhe kommen lässt. Wir kommen wieder!

Very cozy place to stay in Ísafjörður. Perfect location. Everything you need in walking distance! Really comfortable outdoor area Árni is a helpful and nice host :)

A really nice house to spend some quality time in group, with a stunning view on the fjords.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sophie’s B&B. Sophie was a very friendly and accommodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and sitting around her dining room table for a chat and appies. The included and personalized breakfast was a lovely bonus. Sophie was helpful with recommendations and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you Sophie for making us feel like welcomed friends during our stay!

I had such an incredible time in Iceland. The place was very clean when I arrived and the hosts were very communicative. The apartment had everything I needed while I was there for a week. I absolutely will be renting again when I come back in six months.

Nice apartments with all necessary amenities and located in a beautiful city. Host is friendly, apartments are clean and feels like home.

Very conveniently located apartment. It is quite small, but was perfect for my husband and I for two nights. It’s about the size of an average hotel room. We were able to cook our own meals there comfortably. It is a bit brighter in the apartment than we’re used to, so an eye mask would be helpful! Everything was easily walkable and we enjoyed the town and people we met so much. HIGHLY recommend this stay
