The villa was constructed with absolute respect to the natural beauty of the landscape and incorporated to the environment. Stepping through the wooden door of the entrance, a comfortable ramp with the minimum slope (adjusted to the needs of people using wheelchair) leads to the pool level at the entrance of the house. The pool with the wooden sitting arrangement invites guests to enjoy the sea view and relax under the clear blue sky. From the first moment when approaching this beautiful house, it is apparent that it has been designed so that everyone is able to enjoy their vacation without barriers. From the main entrance to the comfy and bright sitting room, the large openings make you feel that the outside and the inside of the house merge into one! This last happens also to the two master bedrooms which are on the same level. The first large bedroom has two single beds and its own bathroom illuminated with light entering from the ceiling, which has been specifically designed, meeting all specifications, equipped to be accessible for people with reduced mobility. Rock is the main building material in the decoration of this superb and comfortable bedroom which also has a view to the pool and the sea. The second bedroom also has its own bathroom, a large double bed and a view to the pool and the yard. The romantic decor with earthy colors and materials creates a relaxation feeling to the visitor. An internal window lets the daylight inside the bathroom. In the living room, the corner-shaped couch can be used as an extra sleeping space for two people. At the same level, there is also a kitchenette, a washing machine and an elevator leading at the 2nd level of the house. An impressive staircase leads from the living room to the 2nd floor of the house. Reaching the 2nd level, there are two choices to enjoy the lovely view towards Myrtos Bay: either from the large porch with the pergola, the BBQ with the built seating or from inside the impressive dining room area. The monastery-style dining table in the middle of the room catches the visitor’s eye away from the magnificent sea view. At the same area, there is a large kitchen totally adapted to the needs of people of reduced mobility. A garden full of beautiful flowers next to the kitchen completes the setting. At this level there is an extra bathroom. The elevator, the covered parking space leading at the entrance level of the house as well as the design in total in addition to the villa's equipment, allows everyone to enjoy their vacation comfortably, without obstacles! The view from the sofa is phenomenal, beautiful both in the daytime with natural light, and in the evening when the lights of the village light up and everything looks like a huge starry sky. Really impressive. The Living is equipped with both TV and stereo, we invite you to sit on the balcony sofa to enjoy a song by Cole Porter, sipping some excellent wine. We assure you that it will be a magical moment. In the living area there is also a modern glass dining table, where you can dine and have lunch, when the weather does not allow you to stay on the terrace. (It never happens that it rains at LEUCA, we're not kidding, it's almost a statistic) The kitchen is fully equipped with new and modern utensils. Fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave are present and left in your equipment. There are also pots, plates, cutlery, glasses, everything is ready to enjoy your sea view dinners. There are two bedrooms: Main bedroom: a really charming bedroom, equipped with spacious wardrobes, wonderful drawers and a beautiful sea view balcony, private, where you can rest after a quiet shower. The room is very special because it is also characterized by the private bathroom in the room, separated from the glass walls, in order to see the sea even in the shower. Secondary room: a spacious and extremely bright room with a comfortable double bed and large fitted wardrobes. The overlooking the inner courtyard of the building makes the room extremely quiet. There is also a second bathroom with a large shower, characterized by marvelous wooden wardrobes. The bathroom is for the whole house. From the living room you can access the terrace through a beautiful teak staircase. Each wooden element of the house has been made to measure and hand-made by skilled and experienced hands of an important local cabinetmaker. The terrace is equipped to be the true undisputed protagonist of the house. A comfortable sofa area will welcome you to make you feel welcome. If you are warm, you can cool off in the jacuzzi or rest on one of the deckchairs provided. There is a large wooden table under the main patio to enjoy dinners under the stalls. The terrace is equipped with a kitchenette with fridge and sink and a barbecue corner for roasting in company. You will notice in the house the presence of very special fat plants, they are a great passion of the owner (The father of Marta), we ask you to take extreme care during your stay :) The house is equipped with air conditioning and heating. The whole house and the terrace are at your disposal. You can also use a carport. We will not always be available for work reasons, unfortunately! We tend to love getting to know you and talking to you, but sometimes it may be difficult to be there in person. However, there will be other people in our family at your disposal during your stay, when we are not there, and we promise that they will behave with such love, as we love to do. They will suggest where to shop, where to eat, the typical products of the place to taste, follow their advice and you will not regret. They will really make you feel like locals! The comfortable double bedroom, with a king size bed, also has patio doors out to the furnished terrace at the front of the property. A bathroom is located two steps across the bedroom door, together with a kitchen with all the necessary utensils. The lovely garden at the ground floor and the barbeque are in common use with the hosts. The terrace of the 1st floor is private, for guests' use only. The hosts are everyday willing to help you spend unforgettable holidays. Their permanent residence is located at the ground floor. They moved to the island of Kefalonia in 2006. George is an Electrical Engineer. He likes the countryside, windsurfing, sailing and tennis. Sofia is working. She likes cooking, paragliding, excursions and traveling. They have two children. The house is 8 kilometers away from the capital of the island, Argostoli, and only 1 kilometer from the airport and the sea. A short 5-10 minute drive away are several of the island's most famous beaches, Ammes, Avithos, Ai Helis, Makris Gialos and Platis Gialos. They are located two to five kilometers away from this lovely residence. There are also markets, taverns, and shops nearby. The village of Stavros, with all amenities, and the fishing village of Frikes are both 1.5 kilometers away. Unfortunately, there is no public transport in Ithaki. Hiring a car is highly advisable Access to Ithaki is via Cephalonia, Patra, Astakos and in the summer months from Lefkas as well.
