We would highly recommend Wabo's on the Water if you are looking for a place to stay close to the north entrance of the Cape Breton National Park. The town of Cheticamp has all the amenities you need and the accommodations were great. We loved being right on the water and in the center of the town, we could walk anywhere in town and the drive to the park was not far at all. Marc was a great host and made sure we knew how to get a hold of him at any time if we needed anything. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time in Cheticamp. John was helpful for suggestions about hiking and restaurants. I would highly recommend his beautiful place.

This fully renovated property has huge rooms, all new furniture, linens and appliances, tons of natural light, a double door from the bedroom that opens to a lovely waterfront deck, and the most charming property manager! We had a bit of trouble figuring out the remote control for the air conditioner/heating unit, and Maurice came right over to help us figure it out. Our lovely conversation kicked off an equally lovely stay. There are lots of options for short stays in Chéticamp, but this will be our go-to pied-à-terre. We loved Chéticamp Island (you can reach it by causeway and it offers a great view of The Acadian Trail road winding up the mountains), Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Aucoin's Boulangerie, and Restaurant Evangeline's for breakfast.

This was a great place to stay before we went to hike around the Cabot trail. Joeleen had great local recommendations that were really helpful for us to decide where to eat and what to do. Thank you for a great stay!

Nancy's place was nothing short of amazing. extremely quite and beautiful place to relax with views of the garden and ocean. Place was spotless, spacious and kitchen was well stocked to cook any meal needed. Very comfortable king size bed and lots of natural light shining in. The description of the place doesn't do it justice. Place is close to grocery stores and gas stations. 2 amazing pubs just down the road as well that I highly recommend. Nancy is an amazing host who will go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Place is better than described. 100% highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the area and I will 100% be back.

This place was amazing. It truly was a home away from home. So peaceful.

This is a magical location. Extremely private with terrific ocean front. A perfect view of Sea Wolf Island National Refuge. Lots of birds with eagles seen ever day. You'll have miles of beach to explore -never saw another person. The amenities are true luxury. Everything you would ever need to prepare meals was there. Andrew was a perfect host.

John and Willemijn were very accommodating, respond very quickly and were helpful mentioning extra tips about the town. Place was super cute and cozy! Loved my stay!

This place was exactly what we needed during a weekend of hockey. Very clean, comfortable. Very well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was very relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. This is a must book for the area.

Picturesque accommodations that were spacious, very clean and totally relaxing. Although it was “in the woods”; it was easy to find and had ample parking. Warm temperatures and sunny skies allowed us to take full advantage of its location - so near to Baddeck and The Cabot Trail. The owner lives on the property and was able to respond very quickly to requests.

This place is amazing! It has everything you could possibly need and so many cute little details! Ashley was so nice and introduced us to all of her goats across the street. It was by far the best place I’ve ever stayed in! My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, 3 nights wasn’t long enough. Hoping to come back again soon😊

Shakila's place is amazing!!! It was beautiful inside and out, and the view on the water is second to none!! We spent so much time on the back porch and balcony just enjoying the view. The place is very well equipped with everything you need, and all the kitchen accessories necessary to make a nice dinner if you want to stay in. I especially loved that there was Tim Hortons coffee, and the water cooler was a nice touch also. The sunsets from the back porch are remarkable. The full sized washer and dryer along with laundry soap make life very easy as well. Shakila is a very fast and responsive host, answering all of my questions, and gave me lots of awesome recommendations as well. The beds were comfortable, and everything about the place was amazing. No complaints. This Airbnb is right on the Cabot trail in cheticamp and convenient to everything. There is a grocery store and great restaurants close by and only about a 10 minute drive from the Cape Breton Highlands national park.

Place was very modern and spacious. Kitchen was well equipped. Great view of the coast. Rick was very friendly and responsive. We really enjoyed our 3 day stay. I give this place top marks.

We enjoyed our stay in Port Hood. Wish we had more time there to explore Cape Breton. Very easy to gaze out at the water and lose track of time.
