This place is a gem. Everyone reading this should go and spend a few nights by the lake in this beautiful and peaceful cabin. We spent a night here and we were devastated to not be spending more time at this beautiful location. It is serene, beautiful, calm and feels like a dream.

We had a wonderful holiday in Jonas and Renate's cabin. Stunning views and an ideal base for visiting Oslo. Tips for future guests: Planning to visit Oslo? Park your (rental) car at Hauketo station. (no parking fees) From there it's a 10 minute train ride to the city center. Download the Ruter app for public transport. Very easy to pay. Kiwi is the nearest supermarket and just as good as Rema 1000, which is a bit further away. In Oslo, it's fun to do a 3 hour bike tour (Baja) to get to know the city. Also book a sauna session in one of the floating saunas in Oslo's harbor and take a refreshing dip in the sea. (Kok or Badstuforening) If you're coming with an electric car, you can download the Charge365 app. It's best to do this in advance, as you'll need to add a payment method. At the charge point, you can't scan a QR code; instead, you have to manually enter an ID. The ID is displayed on the charge point.

This was the perfect place for a family getaway! Just 40 mins to Oslo, We stayed for three nights with two families and three kids, and everything we needed was provided. The indoor and outdoor spaces were beautiful and full of fun games and activities for everyone. Svenn and Cecile were outstanding hosts—super friendly and communicative. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon!

It was a very nice stay! When we came everything was still covered in snow. Little Winter Wonderland in a peaceful environment. During our two weeks stay it got warmer and the snow left and more people returned to their Hytta! Would come back! Highly recommend.

Can we give six stars? Lovely house&apt, what a view to lakeside. Peace and calm. We met both Jan and Julianne and had nice conversation. They are experienced hosts of our age. Nice to share Airbnb stories. Apartment was perfect for old couple. Easy check-in, full kitchen & bathroom. Special thanks for bed. Recommendation: walk down to the lakeside and beach. We made a little drone video as a gift to Jan and Julianne. You can ask a link to see how does the house and surrounding look like. We will come back for sure. Hjertelig takk Jan og Julianne. Jon war ein fantastischer Gastgeber, welcher bei Fragen immer für uns erreichbar war. Er war sehr freundlich und kümmerte sich fantastisch um uns. Die Unterkunft war super gelegen, sodass wir die Ruhe am Fluss super genießen konnten. Die Ausstattung im Haus ließ keine Wünsche offen. Am ersten Tag brachte uns Jon sogar Eier, die wir dann jeden Tag zum Frühstück genießen konnten. Auch bot uns Jon die Nutzung der Kanus oder Angeln an. Alles in allem ist die Unterkunft und Jon als Gastgeber uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gern wieder !

The little red House in Hyggen

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Haus von Therese. Das Haus liegt in schöner Landschaft direkt am Fjord. Es war toll, an den sonnigen Wintertagen die Kite Skater auf dem zugefrorenen Fjord zu beobachten. Therese hat sich sehr freundlich um uns gekümmert und war super hilfsbereit. Man muss beachten, dass es im Haus eine sehr steile Treppe gibt. Für manche Personen könnte das ein Hindernis sein. Bei uns hat alles gut geklappt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Abends haben wir vom nahegelegenen Thai Restaurant leckeres Essen geholt. Die Bus- (Haltestelle direkt am Haus) und Zugverbindungen (von Røyken) nach Oslo sind sehr gut. Ganz besonders möchte ich mich bedanken bei Therese, die immer bemüht war, uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite zu stehen und uns sehr geholfen hat. Ich kann den Aufenthalt in diesem liebevoll gestalteten, kleinen roten Haus sehr empfehlen. Es ist etwas ganz besonderes!

Landlig hus med stort og koselig uteareal. Korte avstander til kollektivtrafikk, stor og fin badestrand, fotballbaner og butikker/Holmen kjøpesenter. Vi storkoste oss i huset til Therese, og kommer veldig gjerne igjen. Therese var svært hyggelig og imøtekommende og svarte raskt på henvendelser.

Boligen var slik verten beskrev, med rolig omgivelser med greie tur muligheter og skjønne dyr på tunet. Verten var enkel å komme i kontakt med og svarte raskt på meldinger som ble sendt. Vi kan trygt anbefale andre å leie her.
