Raton's House 15

JavierRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house matches the description, comes with everything you need and is located on a plot with olive trees, which is a real luxury. Tranquility in an area of Portugal that we didn't know and that surprised us with its nature and the beautiful villages it has.
A cozy corner features a daybed adorned with colorful patterned cushions and a dark floral covering. Artwork lines the walls, and a small carved side table sits nearby. Light filters in softly through a window, enhancing the serene ambiance of the space.

Blue Nook Hideaway, Ladoeiro

While scouting the region, I stayed a couple of days at Meriem her house. What a wonderful stay! Art, coffee, kindness and lots of wisdom in a rural garden setting. Loved every minute. It would also be the perfect place to drop out of the rat race of a couple of weeks. Will visit again!
The interior space features exposed stone walls and a cozy seating area with a light sofa. A dining table is visible near the fully equipped kitchen, and a staircase leads to an upper level. Soft lighting creates a warm ambiance throughout the open layout.

Nave de Pedra

My two friends and I absolutely loved Joao's place! It is one of the most unique airbnbs we have ever stayed in, built on the side of a mountain with a fabulous view off the balcony. It was comfortable and quiet. The town of Monsanto is also incredibly beautiful and unique and everything is in walking distance. I would love to return to Monsanto and would definitely stay in Joao's place again.
A stone house with a traditional red tile roof is set among greenery. A paved area includes parking for vehicles, and a wooden table with benches is visible beside it. The structure highlights regional building techniques, surrounded by a tranquil rural landscape.

CAVE HOUSE - CAVE HOUSE

ErikRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Antonio is super responsive and made it easy to find the location. The room is just as displayed. Shower is small, but everything works well. Has an A/C for cold/heat too, which was great as it was a cold night when we were there. Definitely recommend. Tight streets, but nice to have parking up by the room. You could also park at the lesser-known bottom gate and walk up, very close to the room as well. If you have a small car then you could drive from that small gate. Didn't find great restaurants in Monsanto, but Antonio suggested another one, so we walked the 15 minutes to the town beneath that had a place called O Carlos that had good food and was open until 10pm. Castle ruins are great. Monsanto town is like a story book. Amazing sunsets.

Casa Mont'Santo

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Monsanto is a fantastic place to visit and Sara's house makes it incredible. There's a lot of stairs - 1st floor for main bedroom, 2nd floor terrace and rooftop terrace - but it's worth it! The views are spectacular and the house itself has everything you need. Anyway once you've walked Monsanto for a bit you get used to climbing. We spent the days exploring the castle and town, and the evenings enjoying wine and the view from the house. Plus the restaurants and cafes are good. Parking was easy when we were there (May).
