The Higger Tor Shepherd's Hut

Elli MiaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I absolutely adored my time at the Shephards Hut, I honestly was so so sad to have to leave. I will 100% be back, not only was the hut just beautiful and so cosy but Sue went above and beyond. She greeted us and sent us off, kept us updated and gave great advice for food and places to visit. The place itself was just so homely, Sue also has a folder with loads of information about surrounding areas and foods which we loved and found so helpful - especially as it was our first time there! Everything in the Hut was pristine and just perfect. I can’t get over how much I loved it and Sue was incredible. I’ll rave about this place to anyone who will listen!

Pond View Cottage

LyndaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a very happy, relaxed, but active few days in Pond Cottage. It is small upstairs, yes, but a lovely big bedroom and a modern shower room downstairs. The location is excellent - we had a lovely arrival walk by the river, cycled from the door (what an uphill day that was!), walked the Edges and generally enjoyed all that Hathersage had to offer ... great pubs (The George and the Plough particularly), the pool, great Bakery and fantastic Butcher. We would book again - spotless accommodation, friendly hosts and everything you could need. Be prepared to wash up the old fashioned way - no dishwasher. We found it quite relaxing to be free of the loading/unloading entailed, but just so you are aware. Beautiful outlook from the lounge window upstairs. Really a super find, we hope to return one day.

Rowan Cottage

WendyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful and historic village. Spotlessly clean and with everything you could need for a great stay. I particularly needed a fridge for a celebration cake and Cheryl was very helpful. The place is set up with a great deal of thought and attention to detail. You do need to be aware that there are lots of stairs with steps into every room- and Cheryl had already warned us of this. Highly recommend
