Iyasaka no Yu / Private Onsen / 2minStation / 8ppl

It was an Airbnb that I chose because it was too expensive to stay in a ryokan in the hot summer, but it was really the best accommodation I've ever used. It was great for a family of 5, but the only downside was that there was only one bathroom, so it took a little time for 5 people to wash in the morning?? Nearby attractions were accessible on foot, and I rented a bike to take a morning walk, and it was a very satisfying and enjoyable trip. I saved it as the number one place I want to go back to when I plan to visit Yufuin again next time. The next door was also an Airbnb, so the soundproofing was disappointing, but it wasn't a problem for us at all. The response was quick, kind, and the bedding, bathroom, and kitchen were perfect.

Rakuten stay Villa/Room 101/Natural Hot Spring Sauna in all rooms!

The place and the location are both fantastic. It is extremely good value for money compared with our other accommodation in Kyushu. The onsen is great. Beds are comfy. Place is warm. View is spectacular. Close to kurokawa onsen town. Close to ski fields. Easy access from beppu (with winter tyres) For access: In winter you need winter tyres to get to Kurosawa onsen. And the property is a bit higher up. we had heavy snowfall, so chains would be preferable for the driveway (but we parked 5min walk away and walked up instead). The highway to get to kurokawa onsen was closed unless you have winter tyres or chains. So it is necessary

[Treasure Homestay Recommendation | This is what the ideal home should look like!]✨ The luckiest thing about this trip was booking this amazing homestay! The Host's thoughtfulness made me wonder if I was their "bestie" - I received a surprise on the day of check-in: a huge platter of freshly sliced sashimi! The salmon fat is rich in aroma, and the sweet shrimp is sweet and juicy, instantly healing the fatigue of the journey. The location of the B&B is also very convenient! There is a bus stop that goes everywhere within a 5-minute walk. It's super convenient to go to attractions or business districts. When we didn't know which bus to take, the host replied in seconds, not only giving us the most cost-effective route, but also a must-visit pizza restaurant along the way. If you have an international driver's license and are driving yourself, there is also a spacious parking lot. The most memorable thing was that on the night of check-in, the Host uncle drove us to the supermarket that the locals loved. When the snow-patterned Wagyu beef in the freezer captivated the whole group, I casually asked, "It would be great if there was an oven," and the host immediately said, "There is a charcoal oven in my yard!" At that moment, I finally understood what the "B&B ceiling" meant - roasting juicy A5 beef, enjoying the evening breeze, gathering with the family, and feeling extremely happy. The treasure of the town is the private hot spring! The indoor pool is cleverly surrounded by bamboo fences, soaking in a warm, weak alkaline hot spring while drinking soda. In the morning, go up to the balcony on the second floor and look at the sea in the distance. It's refreshing. When we left, the host insisted on driving us to the highway bus stop and waved goodbye after confirming that everyone was safely seated. The figure of him standing under the bus stop sign in the rearview mirror suddenly made me understand: the true spirit of a B&B is to treat every guest like a returning child~

They responded flexibly to our concerns and selfishness, and we had a great time. The room was also very nice and we had a pleasant time. I didn't want to go home, so I stayed until the last minute of check-out. I'd love to stay again!

Yuko-san was great. She sent photos of the turn-off to get to the place, as it is not well-marked from the street. She met us upon arrival and showed us around. The road to approach the place is steep and narrow, and it was quite challenging to turn around at the end, even in a small car. We had an entire house, and it was quite spacious. Some areas seemed worn or older, and perhaps in the middle of a remodel, but it seemed fairly clean overall. Some of the ceilings were quite low, and passages between rooms were even lower. We had a couple of spiders as visitors, but nothing too strange for being in the country. The beds were quite hard, but I found some extra padding and was OK when I used that with the original bedding. It was nice to have an actual couch, too, as we haven't had many in our month in Japan. Yuko also had fresh produce and sauces we could eat/use for cooking. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. Wifi worked well. We would gladly stay here again!

It was a trip with many families. Maybe because it was newly repaired, all the furniture, bedding, and toilets were clean. Thanks to you, we had a great trip.
