Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Heraklion

The is a family house, simple, pleasent and authentic. The natural surroundings are amazing. The silence is incredible. Meni and Andreas, the owners, are very nice people and we felt the love they invested in every detail. Thanks 🙏

It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views from veranda. Gorgeously traditional house. A step away from a lovely beach. It was up a short, steep hill, perfect for us but might not be for everyone.

Best place to vacate in Crete. Fantastic host and very good service from Claire.

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Manos's house. His mom lived right next to us, and we got help with everything from him. We toured all of Crete with the rental car. The beach near the house is clean, pleasant, and sandy.

Lovely house which has a great location in the city. Close to loads of restaurants and shops and within easy walking distance of lots of the main Heraklion attractions. Spotlessly clean when we arrived. Manos is a very welcoming host and was very helpful, even helping us book taxis. Would definitely stay here again.

This apartment has everything! Location is fantastic, near to many shops and restaurants, about 500 m from the waterfront and the old harbour, on the bus route to the airport….beds and even the sofa were comfortable for sleeping. It is near a busy intersection so there is a bit of traffic noise during the day, but no nightclubs nearby so no overnight noise. Eirini is a fantastic host and came to meet us personally. She left some nice welcome treats for us and this was very appreciated.

We spent four weeks here. Eleni and her mother are super hostesses. They were quick to respond to questions or issues. The apartment is well equipped, in a quiet location. Cars are parked in the cul de sac, but only pedestrians have access to the throughway. The flat is within a two minute walk to the historical, mostly pedestrian center, within the Venetian city walls. Nearby there are churches, museums, parks, restaurants, cafes, and a bustling nightlife. Supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, bus lines, and the beautiful port are all within minutes of the apartment. If you are visiting Heraklion this is where you will want to stay.

Stella's place was a lovely stay! With mountain views and the beach 5 minutes away, it was a peaceful and scenic stay. The space was clean and comfortable and Stella was so communicative! It was so convenient that she lived nearby as she was able to address any issues very quickly. A quick walk to Analipsi which is an adorable little town with markets and restaurants (definitely more things open during the on season, but still charming). Would definitely recommend a stay here!

For the money we paid, we couldn't ask for more. Heraklion is my home town and finding my way round wasn't going to be an issue, but even if I was an unaware foreigner on his first visit there I wouldn't be troubled whatsoever. George was always available on the phone and helpful. The studio was spotless and functional as quoted in the advert. The immersion heater would heat the water within minutes, while the air-condition was handy. The main advantage of this place though is its location: there is everything you need right at your feet and if you are the pedantic kind of tourist the choice laid out in front of you will put your mind to rest. Within less than half a mile radius you have more bars, cafeterias, restaurants and shops your palate can handle. Only question is... do you know where you are going? I am Greek, so I do. They stay was perfect! Giorgos always responded quickly when we asked something. The appartement was really clean aswell! Would totally recommend.

A great stay in a calm area of stalida. The beach is walkable from the apartment. There are two nice balconies to sit at, and one has shadow at all times on one of them which is very convenient in the heat. There is air condition in the bed room and a large fridge to keep stuff cool. The washing machine and stove are all new and clean. The street in front of the house is ok to park at, but there is no specific parking spots. The back balcony has a view to the sea and we really liked staying there in the evenings to chat. All in all a great stay.

the place was very nice and Maria was very hospitable. Her mom gave us delicious homemade cookies. The house looked as if someone is still living there. there were personal photos and what seemed like personal items. looked a lot like a "home". We had a lovely time. thank you Maria.

BEST HOST EVER! I’ve never been so happy either a host and very comfortable and lovely place. All the facilities were above the expectations. Can’t wait to stay at George’s place again.

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

This was a gem of a place, really well designed, huge balcony and panoramic view, sea, mountains, beautiful church etc. 10 mins walk to major sights, the Museum of Archeology was fabulous and also the quirky Museum of Ancient Technology was fascinating. Great food and coffee options all around. Giannis was quick to respond and I loved my stay here.
