Barn vacation rentals in Gwynedd

A group of us were walking the Pilgrim Trail from Twywn to Aberdaron then going over to Bardsey in nemory of my beautiful wife Glynwen. So Bronturnor Cottage was used as a base as it was central for the trail. We had different friends and family staying during the 11 days and Jeston and Shameem offered fresh towels and bedding on our various changes of personality. Excellent wifi . One of the most beautiful Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in!! Mirka and her husband were amazing hosts and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying with them. The cottage is wonderful - cosy, comfortable beds, great shower & bath, and most of all a lovely view out of the window!

Nicks place was great! the perfect space for a getaway in north Wales. The diary had everything you needed as well as a beautiful garden. Just a stones throw from Llanberis you are a good distance from Snowdon shuttles if climbing Snowdon is your goal. If not loads of perfect walks near by including a great cafe called Caban. would highly recommend to anyone it's worth the money for sure. Thank you Nick!

We had the best stay with Nick and Charlotte. Their home is beautiful and in the most amazing spot. Couldn’t recommend it more highly and as hosts they were wonderful!

A lovely converted barn with amazing views. Very remote but Dafydd gave very clear and easy to follow instructions on how to find the property. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with basic equipment and all the living spaces felt homely. Overall, a great stay for a quiet weekend.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here! We got so lucky with the weather for the middle of March and enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting outside on the swing chair! The lodge was clean and had everything you needed and the bed was sooo comfy!We went to the pub near a few times and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Katy was very helpful and responsive at all times. We would defo recommend to anyone who would like a peaceful getaway ☺️

John & Sabrina are particularly welcoming and helpful hosts. And Machynlleth? We think we could live there- a great sense of community!

Our stay at The Cowshed was amazing from start to finish. The property was spotless and Suzy was very helpful. The location is very central to many popular destinations, such as Abersoch and Aberdaron. There are many nice cafés, restaurants, and pubs within a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Suzy provided us fresh milk, Welsh cakes, and eggs on arrival, which we thought was a nice touch. The cottage has access to WiFi and Sky TV, including paramount+, Netflix, and more. The garden areas are large and our dogs loved them. We would recommend staying with Suzy at The Cowshed and we will definitely be a returning customer.

A wonderful little place to stay. Walking routes at your doorstep with lovely 360 views. Not too far from the sea and surrounding towns for days out. Kitchen is kitted with everything you'd need to make a meal for 2 with good equipment. Bed is also really comfortable! Would stay again in the future 😊

Absolutely loved staying here, couldn't have asked for anything more, great hosts, great stay, loved the location was a great base for local activities. A wonderful welcome basket with home baked goodies and eggs. Communication was fantastic and arrival instructions were spot on. Amazing hosts; very welcoming and an amazing place to stay, loved the cottage, the area and would highly recommend a stay here, own transport needed but would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

I had a wonderful time! The cottage was exactly as described in a peaceful and tranquil location. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the bathroom modern and spacious. I really appreciated the cookies and other welcome treats as well. Thank you for the fantastic stay!

Absolutely amazing place and location! Hosts were super friendly and recommend lots of lovely things to do and even took as to a drop of location for a local hike. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful location with lots of amazing places to explore.

This was the break me and my partner needed. The property is on farm land, it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere but it’s 5 minutes from a village and is not far from main motorways so you can easily travel around wales. The place itself was spotless and felt like a home away from home, the hot tub was fun to figure out and once you get in it feels well deserved and perfectly positioned to watch the sunset. You can tell a lot of love and thought has gone into this place. We have come back feeling refreshed and like we have had an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

This cottage was absolutely stunning and exactly what we needed for a large group of friends with a couple of young children. It's in such a quiet and idyllic location, we could not have asked for more. Even though it feels incredibly remote, it's only a 15min drive to Llanberis and there are footpaths to the mountains on the doorsrop. Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay at Hayloft Barn. The hosts were accommodating when we asked to check in early. When we got there, they were ready for us. The barn is very spacious - there were 3 adults and 4 teenage girls in our group and we didn't feel at all cramped. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and crockery so we could cook a meal for everyone. The bed linen was super soft - we tried to work out where it from so we could buy it for home. Lol. The barn is in a quiet area, but really easily accessible from the A470. There's a lot to do just 20 minutes drive to Porthmadog, including a big Tesco. On our second night, we made a point of getting back early so we could all sit and eat together. Would highly recommend.

Lovely location & well equipped property with great facilities. Good location for walking Snowdon

We had a lovely stay at Buttercup Barn. The isolation of the location was just what we needed and we spent peaceful afternoons chilling out in the hot tub. We walked down to the beaches and the amenities in Abersoch everyday with our dogs enjoying the sand and sea. We only visited The Vaynol and St Tudwals pubs and highly recommend both of these. We contacted the host, Emma, with a couple of minor questions and she responded very quickly. The Barn itself is excellent and very comfortable. We will definitely return. We stayed with our friends at Alison’s and Dan’s stunning property. They are both warm and friendly hosts and are super helpful. Their property is located in peaceful and relaxing surroundings and is perfectly located to explore the countryside. Overall we had a fabulous stay and we look forward to visiting again!

Alex has a lovely place. We enjoyed being able to go somewhere that the whole family can get together. The bbq area was a plus, it was lovely and quiet and there are some lovely walks close by

We absolutely loved Sian’s apartment! It was perfect for our whole family. The place was exactly as described in the photos—clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. It’s also very child-friendly, with lots of thoughtful touches like children’s books, toys, and even a playroom that our kids really enjoyed. The location was fantastic too—just a short walk to the beach, and there were plenty of great restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. We truly had a wonderful stay and would love to come back again for our next family holiday!

What a brilliant find! We had such a warm welcome and they were so responsive and helpful. The cottage was much bigger than the it looked in the pictures, really clean and had lots of amenities (we especially loved the Welsh cakes). The bed was incredibly comfortable. The games room and secure dog field were lovely extras. It's a beautiful location with so many activities and things to do around it. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Jane’s cottage was absolutely beautiful, and even better than we expected. So peaceful, and has wonderful views. Jane was super responsive to all messages and really helpful. I would definitely recommend Jane’s place to anyone wanting a quiet escape.
