Hotel vacation rentals in Gulf of Nicoya

I loved everything about Eden - the kind, warm delightful Enid who stayed up very late so I could check-in after flying from Australia, the delicious breakfast she served, the clean and comfortable room, the lush garden and refreshing pool. As an older woman travelling solo for a few days in a country where I do not speak the language, it was the perfect place to recover from jetlag. I felt safe and cared for. Carlos, the driver they recommended to me was an added bonus, as was meeting some of the other interesting guests.

Everyone was amazingly nice and helpful! The property is gorgeous that surrounds you on all sides. Definitely go the free frog walking night tour offered by the hotel.

I had a great time, there was a kitchen for everyone, I was not far from the center, everything is accessible and the staff were super nice.

We had the best 7 nights here. The location is great, just off the main road so it felt secluded yet only 5 minutes to all the restaurants. All the staff, Oli and Emilie were so nice and helpful. Our room was large and had everything we needed. We recommend having their breakfast, it’s great value and good! We felt relaxed throughout, and there is a nice social area by the pool where me made friends with other guests. A nice community feel. We honestly loved it and would like to come again and bring friends. We also adored Emma, their wonderful calm dog ha!

This was our 2nd stay at Maria’s penthouse and it did not disappoint. It would be impossible to find another place around Jaco with better views from every room. Maria is a superb host who is always very fast and friendly in her responses. We can’t wait to be back again in the future.

Nice spacious room with tall ceilings. Large windows. Super clean. Very comfortable bed. Spotless washroom. Huge pool. Surrounded by woods. Close to the beach. Justin is a responsive host.

This Airbnb was absolutely beautiful! The value was great and the hosts were lovely. They were super responsive and helpful when needed.

Joëlle and Simon were exquisite hosts. This Airbnb was well equipped with everything you needed and more! The space was stunning with lots of colorful areas to socialize and a perfect temperature swimming pool naturally sheltered from the overpowering sun (which is perfect when you need a break from the beach. The space was clean and cozy. Joëlle’s cooking is also not to be missed and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Such a unique experience to stay somewhere that supports such an important cause. Jaqueline was super responsive and made checking in a breeze. She had us phone her since we arrived after hours & guided us over the phone. When the room keys weren’t in the room as expected, Jacqueline came to the site after hours & delivered us a spare key. The tour of the animal rescue was very informative & conducted ethically so that guests do approach animals or the enclosures, but observe and learn about them from a distance. There is a lot of emphasis on animal welfare and preventing animals from becoming used to humans. My only complaints would be that the pool was overdue for cleaning & very green & the overwhelming abundance of bugs that got in our room was not ideal. We did visit in May so early rainy season, but some of the windows had little spots where the critters got in. The second night was better once we discovered those spots and blocked them. Definitely stay here! Bring bug spray!

I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb in Costa Rica! The location was isolated but convenient- close to nature but still conviene to local restaurants,shops, and attractions. The house was clean the host was responsive and friendly. Also: Bring bug spray!!

Very nice pool area and room was comfortable for 3 people. The free breakfast was tasty and the area felt safe. Easy to walk to restaurants and the beach. FYI - you have to be in the room with a key for the AC to be turned on. A bit inconvenient to come back to a hot room when being out all day but overall we didn’t find it too bad!

We had a beautiful time at Evan's place. We appreciated the flexible check in Cole provided us. I wish we could stay longer. The clean cabina was right on the beach and pet friendly! The salt water pool was so nice and the restaurant staff were super kind. Thank you Cole and Evan! We will definitely come back!

Very good service from Cindy and her husband, attentive throughout the stay, the breakfast they provide is a plus, something that is not easy to find, the room is very nice and comfortable with all the facilities and amenities, a place full of nature.

Great view and very nice decor! Luxury feeling with swimming pool and hot tub for a small price! The roads to the accommodation are very bumpy, but that was previously indicated in the description. We were completely happy with the place!

Raf and his lovely mother were so friendly and welcoming. Being long time locals he was amazing at offering the best places to hit. We experienced beautiful, peaceful beaches, and beaches that are best for surfing. We would absolutely stay here again!! Also, the tres gatos were so friendly and the cherry on top of the whole stay.

Great spot for a first or last night - just close enough to San Jose and just far enough to be out in the country. Amazing views across the valley to the West. Accommodation was very clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Great outside area to enjoy in the evenings and two outstanding swimming pools to enjoy as well. Lovely to have a bar with happy hour and great bar food.

Very pleasant stay in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We are not golfers but enjoyed the beautiful beach. There were imperfections at the main gate because the QR code did not arrive at our place. Luckily, Teddy was on site and clarified the matter in 5 minutes.

We had an unbelievable stay at Yuri's in Tarcoles. We were over the moon satisifed with the accomodations and Yuri's responsivness to any questions we had. The area is peaceful, quiet and secure. We felt safe the entire time and away from the busyness to relax and enjoy. I would recommend this home to anyone. It was about one hour (when there is no traffic) from the airport and about 10-15 minutes from restaurants and the beach. Costa Rica was beautiful and we look forward to our return!
