Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Gulf Islands

Deanna and John are incredibly hospitable and very nice! The place is spectacular! We had a beautiful view right at the ocean (even from the bed) and the mountains! The room is very tastefully furnished and equipped with a comfortable king size bed, a massage chair, a fridge, a microwave, a beautiful bathroom and a balcony with a great view! Deanna even went the extra mile to fulfil our wish by getting us Frappuccino. There are treats and snacks in the room and plenty of food in the kitchen area! Wonderful! A special surprise was the indoor pool with a counter-current system. I would have given more than 5 stars if that would be possible! Thank you for the great experience!

My young daughter and I stayed at Renay’s for four nights. Our spacious bedroom had a view of the beautiful garden outback. A delicious breakfast of granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit awaited us in the common room every morning. Renay was happy to offer suggestions of places to visit on the island. I would highly recommend Renay’s if you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay while on Gabriola.

Brigitte was an outstanding and warm host! We felt so taken care of from the moment we arrived and the views are spectacular! A cozy place that truly felt like home, waking up to beautiful views of the Gulf Islands, a lot of sunshine and hummingbirds outside the windows! We can't wait to come back!

I had a wonderful stay at this property in Vancouver! The location is absolutely fantastic—just a 8-10 minute walk to the SkyTrain, making it incredibly easy to get around the city. Trout Lake is right across the house, which was perfect for peaceful walks and enjoying nature. The house itself is very creatively designed and has a unique charm. My room was spacious, filled with natural sunlight, and felt very comfortable—ideal for a solo traveler. I appreciated how close it was to the city, while still offering a quiet and relaxing environment. While the bathroom is shared among multiple guests, it was manageable and didn’t take away from the overall experience. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vancouver who’s looking for a convenient, cozy, and well-located stay!

This is a beautiful home located on the shore of a protected ocean lagoon! They have kayaks and canoes you can use to explore the waters and get up close and personal with all the wildlife like sea otters, bald eagles, cormorants, and all kinds of other ducks and waterfowl. Sunrise over the Strait of Juan de Fuca is a peaceful and gorgeous way to start your day. It's only 20 minutes from downtown Victoria to the east, and then just 30 minutes west for hiking some of the best beaches and forest trails along the Strait of Juan de Fuca! Excellent hosts, you will love your stay at Birds of a Feather!

Quiet location, with either a lake or forest view. Very clean, private room with a comfortable bed. Minutes away from the beach and downtown with lots of great restaurants. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay there again!

Great place

Kind and passionate host with a beautiful Rose garden, clean and quiet place where birds sing happily in the backyard. It's even better than the photos I saw initially, and the room is spacious and bright.

Lovely stay in Cindy’s cozy suite. Clear instructions for arrival and check-in, quiet neighbourhood, clean, nice linens, comfortable bed, good wifi. Continental breakfast goodies, though we went to a friend’s for breakfast. The suite was small but functional. No TV nor laundry but we didn’t need either. Fit our needs perfectly.

This was the perfect place to stay while cruising through the San Juans. Laura made us feel so welcome and the story of the boat and its history made the stay even better still. Probably the most unique B&B I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. It made the perfect way to finish off our trip. Thank you Laura and Eric for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Jake & Lynda's. They were very responsive from the beginning and were flexible as we figured out our arrival plans. The space was very clean and well-kept, with beautiful sunset views over the water.

We had such an enjoyable stay at the 5 elements spa! The host was great, with a nice check-in where we were shown around the property and spa. He also gave us great local recommendations. A highlight was being able to use the sauna and the steam room located there ! We would highly recommend

My wife and I booked 2 nights away for our anniversary and let me tell you, the Pointhouse Bed and Breakfast did not disappoint. Heather and Bob were extremely friendly, responsive, and made us feel right at home. Heather created 2 delightful, creative breakfasts which were absolutely delish! We splurged a bit booked a private chef for the Saturday night. Executive Chef Amanda plated an incredible 5 course meal which consisted of nothing but local ingredients so I highly recommend this option! The hot tub was quality and could be enjoyed at anytime as well. The location and view left us speechless. Try and make it there before dark as it can be a bit tricky finding at night :) Thanks Heather and Bob for an amazing experience. We WILL be back !! Peace, Ryan

Claudia made us feel welcome before we even arrived. She was so kind and the property was beautiful. Adorable farm animals, fruit trees, walkable and cute little spots to sit in the scenery. Friday Harbor is just a ferry ride away for us but it was the perfect getaway. Claudia’s breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was so fun chatting with her in the morning. Whether you need a night getaway or a week to decompress, this is where you want to be. Right down the road from downtown and home cooked breakfast to start your day. Cherry on top, our room was adorable and felt super private even with roommates next door. Thank you, Claudia! We will be back! 🫶🏻❤️

All I can say is that if you need accommodation in Qualicum Beach, Karen’s Blue Bungalow is a must. It is easily one of the top AirBnBs I’ve ever stayed in, and that’s before considering the incredible value for money. It was beautiful and cosy, spotless, the amenities were everything we could have needed and more, and the overall experience was flawless. Karen is an incredibly responsive, warm, and flexible host. The breakfast each morning was perfect. She clearly enjoys hosting and cares about the guest’s experience - that much is evident in every detail. One of my most memorable B&B stays EVER. Thank you for everything Karen!

Off the charts hospitality- these two exceeded every expectation and spoiled us with two unbelievable gourmet breakfasts, in their immaculate, perfectedly decorated and proportioned custom log home. Absolute silence when inside, and outside was alive with the sounds of happy spring birds, and breakfasts were made with their own henhouse eggs (Ken is an 'animal whisperer' it would seem 🤗) and their amazing gardens and manicured, yet natural grounds are delightful, and ooze with tranquility and peacefulness. We even witnessed Roosevelt Elk at dusk both evenings, which frequent that part of our Island. Hummingbirds, robin's, ravens and of course lots of pollinators filling the daytime air, as they fed on the many wild flowers - and - there is even a small babbling creek to create a delightful soundscape when sitting outdoors. as cyclists, having their 5 acres borders a perfect 20 km forested smooth gravel bike path that was once a railway bed- gentle grades- stunning scenery! 11/10!

Daisy’s place was fantastic! Her proactive communication made finding the home and checking in seamless. She was incredibly gracious in opening up her beautiful home to guests and very generous with amenities. The room was extremely comfortable, with a cozy bed and a private ensuite bathroom that made mornings easy and unwinding after a long day of hiking an absolute treat. Highly recommend!

Il posto è veramente immerso nella natura, isolato ma bellissimo, indimenticabile. L’appartamento è essenziale ma confortevole. Da tenere a mente che è su due livelli, la camera da letto e il bagno sono di due piani diversi. Mark un ospite molto attento, cordiale e premuroso. Un luogo dove si desidera tornare.

This home is gorgeous and we loved waking up to sound of crowing roosters. Great shower with very hot water and good water pressure. Surprised that eggs were not part of the breakfast.

Comfortable well appointed suite with a killer view! Very responsive host. Nice adds like a fire pit and nice breakfast! We’d definitely come back.

It’s the perfect spot for family fun, with just a short stroll to the pebble beach and plenty of open space for the kids and dog to run around and play. The hot tub was all set up and had a great view such a great to relax and unwind. DM, provided lots of thoughtful touches like treats for our dog and age-appropriate toys for our 2-year-old daughter.

Beth’s place was exactly as described and a lovely little escape in the woods. We took the kayaks out, enjoyed the reading book and took a hot tub which all worked as described in the post. Beth was extremely responsive and I would 100% recommend this place to stay. Thanks for a great weekend.
