Vacation rentals with beach access in Great Barrier Reef

We loved staying at Kerrie's. such a peaceful little unit close to the marvellous sites of The Strand.

It was a great stay the place was great and the kids loved the balcony we have couple Cockatoo visitors and it was very friendly my children loved it they can hand feed them.And the playground just next to the apartment is a bonus.Unfortunately my daughter forgot her iPad and it made the host easier for us to post it. Im happy and definitely happy to recommend this place.

Excellent stay, can highly recommend! The place in itself is just stunning, exceptionally clean, has spectacular views and all the amenities one could wish for. We loved waking up early and watching the sunrise, while having breakfast on the balcony. The place is also close to all the services, but still in a calm and private neighborhood. Bella was an excellent host and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you’re looking for the best location in town, this is it! Caroline was exceptional — she couldn’t do enough for us, and having such a fantastic host made all the difference. The live music from the pub across the road, enjoyed from the balcony every night, was an added bonus! The apartment itself was awesome, with everything we needed for our six days in Port Douglas. We will definitely be back!

Clean, spacious apartment. Clear directions on how to enter the property. We really enjoyed our stay! Safe neighbourhood! Short walk to the restaurant area and beach. Cute kangaroos in the neighbourhood too. Was lovely to sit out on the porch in the evening.

We had a lovely stay in Townsville! The apartment was lovely and the kids especially loved having their own bathroom. The apartment was very conveniently located for the kids’ waterpark and also convenient for the day trips we made to Billabong wildlife sanctuary and Magnetic Island. Port Douglas is great, and Sven's place is with easy driving access to the wharf (for reef trips), shops and the Daintree. Lovely pool, breakfasts in the morning on the deck.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Dianne’s place. The apartment was perfect for our family with two young toddlers, beautiful setting, clean, comfortable and all the extras for kids, toys, pool toys and a great outdoor spa bath. We had a lot of fun at the resort beach pool and the location in Palm Cove is perfect, by the beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

My partner and I stayed at Christine and Brad’s place. It was such an amazing location with a beautiful view. Everything was spotless and the bed was comfy! It has a massive bathroom and walk in robe too! The kitchen was excellent to use, and sitting out on the deck with a drink felt so relaxing! The spa was the best, and such a beautiful way to start or end the morning! Will definitely be returning! Thanks again!

Lovely inviting home with plenty of space and all the amenities you need - perfect for us and great to have a pool which was particularly appreciated by our son 😊 Fab location - we enjoyed being able to walk along the beach to the local tavern and watch the stunning sunsets. House was perfect for our families holiday with enough space for the kids. It was very clean, well presented and in a wonderful location being a short walk to the beach and close to shops and cafes. Charlotte was very helpful and responsive to any questions making our stay stress free.

Absolutely loved my stay at Sue’s Place. It was everything I hoped for and more. If you're craving peace, quiet, and a break from the chaos of everyday life, this is the spot. The home is beautifully styled with thoughtful touches that make it feel warm and inviting the second you walk in. It's clear Sue takes pride in her space. One of the biggest highlights for me was the secure yard. Traveling with my furbabes, and knowing they are safe and happy is always my priority. They had plenty of room to explore while I got to relax without worry. Waking up each morning, grabbing a coffee, and sitting out on the front verandah watching the ocean waves roll in, having ducks visit and listening to the birds, well it was pure magic. You can actually feel your shoulders drop and your mind slow down. The view is stunning and the calm is unmatched. It’s more than just a place to stay it’s an experience. Peaceful, pet-friendly, and picturesque. I’ll definitely be back.

Meg’s Beach house was a perfect place for a family getaway. The sound of the ocean was refreshing with its own private access to the beach. The kids loved having an outdoor bubble bath on the deck. Everything we needed was at Meg’s place and would highly recommend staying here.

This is a fantastic place to chill out with family or friends. There is plenty of room to play together or have time out. The location is ideal with proximity to children’s play areas, the beach as well as takeaway stores. The home is clean and welcoming and easy to live in. Thanks Sara. We will definitely come again

We had a wonderful stay as a family of five with three kids who range from 6-11yo. Nicola’s property had everything we needed to enjoy the first few days of our trip to Australia. We cooked daily and the house was equipped for everything we needed. Beach access was literally in the back yard. Nicola was an outstanding host and communicated every step along the way. I would definitely return again

We loved our stay at Compass Point 5. Amazing view, watching the sunsets from the balcony was magic! Great location, easy to get to beach, shops and cafes. Apartment was well set out, worked well for our family of 5. Highly recommend!

A sprawling home with great views. Kitchen was fabulous. The bedrooms and bathrooms were top notch. The patio area had comfortable seating. Even though the place is a part of a small group of apartments, it felt totally private. Covered car park was a bonus. Hosts are super responsive and helpful. One reaches the place through two flights of narrow stairs. It may be difficult to carry large luggage or if you have mobility issues. Otherwise this is a dream vacation home

A beautiful and modern apartment with stunning views. All amenities were fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. A cot was setup ready for our baby. Very minor note, the Wi-Fi across Bright Point is ok, but it can be unreliable, particularly in the evenings.

The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was homey but not cluttered! Great location two blocks from the strand and right across the street from the botanic gardens. We walked to the water every morning and afternoons for coffees and swims. The unit’s air con worked great and we slept well. The shower was spacious and you can see castle hill from the window in the bathroom. Angels and Shaun were gracious and messaged us back quickly.

A fantastic stay at Thomas’ place! I had an incredible time staying at Thomas’ property. The space was spotless, beautifully styled, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Thomas was a thoughtful and responsive host—communication was clear and friendly from start to finish. The location was perfect too—quiet, convenient, and close to everything I wanted to explore. I felt right at home and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place with a genuinely welcoming vibe!

Paul's unit is in a perfect location. We canceled our car rental because everything is very walkable. Great restaurants, markets, shopping, and activities in the area. The balcony has a beautiful view of the esplanade. Loved hanging out at dusk watching the fruit bats. We will stay here again if we return to Cairns for a holiday! Recommend Passions of Paradise for snorkel/dive coral reef. Great staff and a wonderful boat! Thanks, Paul!

Ideal location and very accessible (highly recommend for anyone using a wheelchair). Comfortable bed and great for a stay in Cairns. Lacking basic condiments (salt, pepper and oil) and basic supplies (garbage bags, tongs and chux)

Accomodation was beautiful! Perfect little spot, very close to the Main Street - walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here and would 100% come back again!
