Access to the tree house can be conducted by phone so you don't meet anyone. All contact surfaces are cleaned using dettol wipes and linen is washed at 60 deg. This is a real tree house, fully insulated, 6m off the ground. It faces south with views of the city. It is situated in our garden but screened by trees giving privacy. It consists of a bedroom with a deck at the top level and a bathroom on the level below. Cork city centre is a 5 min. walk. Access to the city is via a STEEP HILL.

Declan was an absolutely lovely host! The room was perfect, bigger than what you’d expect for a single bedroom near the city. Our stay was wonderful, and the highlight was getting to talk to Declan and the other guests! Highly recommend staying here, I just wish we’d stayed longer than a couple nights!

County Cork charming rustic rural haven great view

Remote but very peaceful. Came late at night so didn’t see much on arrival but woke up to beautiful surroundings and the sound of birds singing. Regina and Paul’s loft is a decent size and felt very cosy. The bathroom/shower is very handy and being well informed about its location beforehand and lack of sink/running water in the actual loft itself posed no real issue. I stayed in beautiful warm weather and was able to open the windows but I almost wished it had been cold so I could light the dinky little stove! Very pleasant stay. Hope to be back some time.
