Vacation rentals with a patio in Gelugor

I'd give more than five stars if AirBnB would let me. We felt really at home, and would unequivocally recommend the place. Siew Lin is an amazing host, flexible, helpful. The place is great. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures; there are two fully-fitted bathrooms, each with a shower; a great kitchen that is fully equipped; washing machine and a drying rack on the beautiful balcony; everything to feel like home... The location is also perfect. In the building complex there's a fully-stocked supermarket (downstairs and across a covered walkway, 3 minutes door-to-door), great restaurants, a beautiful pool that is always empty, a gym, great surroundings... We also like the geography in the city, nestled (somehow extremely quietly) between Georgetown and Tanjung Bungah!

We stayed for 4D3N in May 2025. We arrived Penang in morning time and the host was being so helpful to help us to store our luggage while we tour around Penang and had our brunch before check in time. The host even help to send our luggage to the unit. The unit parking was just right in front of the lift. The waiting time for the lift was a bit longer during check out time 11am-12pm. Our flights were delayed, and the host was so kind to allow us to check out at 11.30am. The condo was near to the Island plaza mall, there were nice food there and can buy grocery at Mercato. we bought our laundry detergent there. Overall, it was a nice & comfortable place to stay.

The condition of the house is very good. All rooms have airconds and funtioning well. Clean toilet and bathroom. I really recommend this apartment for you guys! - all items in the kitchen can be used (dapur masak, toaster, peti ais, microwave) Just u need to spare or bring ur own mineral water (Water heater is provided no worries). All in all my family enjoy the staycation and felt very comfortable with this house.

He went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed, which made my trip so much smoother and more enjoyable. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We loved Asmah’s apartment! It was large, spacious, very clean and comfortable. We had 2 bathrooms plus a large kitchenette with a washing machine b which was a godsend as we could wash our clothes after being on the road for a few days! We also loved the swimming pool and the availability of a great supermarket downstairs and restaurants if we didn’t want to go into town! If we had problems we just sent txts and they were responded to quite quickly. Would stay in Tanjong Tokong again in a heartbeat.

I’m reviewing this stay from an American perspective and as an Airbnb host myself. This stay is beautiful, unique, well located and clean. I read the other reviews and while yes, it gets warm in the upstairs bathroom, the house is an original shophouse. It’s very old, but has been re-done beautifully. The AC is in the bedrooms, there are fans for the rest of the house and it’s fine. It’s spacious, none of the external noise was very loud, except the rain when it came down hard in a thunderstorm! The listing says the beds are queens but they’re king beds by US standards. We found them to be very comfortable. The location was fantastic we could walk or get a Grab easily to everywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic experience in. It’s not the Ritz, if that’s what you’re looking for this is not the place for you but if you want to experience Penang like a local, this is your place. The antiques are beautiful and you cannot beat the price!

Just like the photos show, it's cozy and especially suitable for a family tour.It is also possible to experience local life. A good water dispenser and refrigerator are very convenient, and the living space is also suitable for family tourism. Once the questions were reflected, they were quickly responded to by the team.

Although the unit is a bit pricey but we never regret staying for 4 nights. The location is good, quiet, interior simple and practical in design. Apple is very responsive and helpful. She made sure that our stay was good and kept checking on us to ensure everything was OK. We requested for checkin for my seniors, although it was not possible Apple explained and kept updating us on the progress of cleaning. I surely will recommend my friends to stay in this unit if they ever come to Penang or we will to visit Penang again. Thank you Apple. Thumbs up for you.

Everything was good

I stayed for 5 days for Hari Raya. Swimming pool is working. BBQ equipment also available. Netflix & Youtube are also available. There is also an emergency kit if needed. Kids friendly. The house is spacious and clean and has many amenities. Will be a place I will rent again. Thank you so much everyone ☺️✨

This place is clean and functional. It has all the essentials, like a washing machine, oven, pots, and more. I love the gym and pool. Would definitely come back next time .

This apartment was incredible and the best place we stayed during our trip by far. The view from the apartment (and the infinity pool) is amazing, and it’s incredible value compared to what a similar apartment would cost in other large cities. The location is also great: you have an option to take the bus/grab a taxi to anywhere in the city centre or if you want to go to Penang hill/Kek Lok Si, all under 15-20 minutes. We’ll definitely try to stay here again if we ever come back!!

Wonderful place to stay. In love with the balcony view as it faces the sea. Windy and nice. Nearby to many local food shops. The host was responsive. Will definitely repeat the stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the apartment. It was comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly located for exploring Batu Ferringhi. The space was clean and inviting, and we felt right at home throughout our stay.

We were disappointed that there was in fact NO pool, and in the advertisments that we looked at on the internet a pool was clearly shown,giving the impression that we would have access to such a facility. In all honesty though, it was a perception we formed from looking at the advertisment.... not one that Mr. Paco himself put forward. Other than that.... excellent. We will be back....
