I stayed for a week.I had a very comfortable time. There is a house surrounded by mountains.There may not be many shops nearby, but I think it's the best location for those who want to spend time in the great outdoors. The host is always nearby, so you can ask anything at any time. The large garden has handmade woodwork by the host, a triangular wooden house you can stay in, and even a bath!Yes.It's also fun to wake up in the morning and take a walk there. There are also experiences such as pizza and soba noodle making.I tried making soba noodles, and it was so much fun, so I recommend it ^ ^

When I contacted you about replenishing amenities, it was very helpful that you rushed over in the middle of the night.The coffee beans were also very delicious, and it was a luxurious and special experience. It's usually a cafe, so there was a note on the questionnaire that there were no plans to install curtains, but I was surprised that it was more exposed than I thought, so I was glad that there was a partition. The kitchen had the basic condiments as described, but I would have liked it if you could have described what was available in more detail before I went, and perhaps the food left by past guests?I thought it would be nice if it were better managed.As a small point, there were plenty of utensils, but the lineup of dishes was small, and since there was a nice kitchen, it would have been more enjoyable if there had been more dishes.

Such a beautiful home. We loved our stay here, we only wish we had more time!

Great stay in the mountainside of Japan but still very accessible by car. Hosts were an elderly couple (Yuka's parents) whom really went the mile to make sure we're welcomed and at home. My mother had the delight of partaking in Ikebana with Yuka's mom on the following morning of our stay, essentially a short trip to gather flowers in nearby areas and then back to the house for a flower arrangement tutorial. Lovely people that takes care of a lovely place, thank you for the hospitality!

We enjoyed the place very much! The decor was very clean, well-maintained and cute. The location is quiet but nicely located on the river. The sand dunes are 20 minutes away by bus. The stop is around the corner Ruins of Tottori Castle are also in walking distance. Hayashida was always extremely kind and helpful. In the restroom you will find very cool reading material :D In summary, an absolute recommendation!

The house is a design gem, gorgeous woodwork, open kitchen, private onsen, and a starlit deck perfect for BBQs. But it’s the people who make it magical. The hosts are deeply rooted in Chizu, passionately farming ancestral rice fields and breathing new life into the village with their friends and community. Their love for the land is felt in every detail. If you’re into cycling, hiking, or trail running, the Ashizu Valley is raw, rugged, and breathtaking—endless climbs and forest silence. Chizu’s pool is top-notch for a post-ride swim, and the forests are full of wildlife. Visit the time-frozen hamlet of Itaibara, just 5 mins away. Then swing by Chez Ben for pastries or Daikokuten for local staples—both under 2 minutes by car. A rare stay with soul, story, and setting.

Despite the large number of people, they welcomed us very kindly and brightly! It was a really fun trip! Thank you for the past two days!
