Family-friendly vacation rentals in Falasarna beach

We had a great time at Katerina's place. Check-in was very flexible and even possible before 3 pm. The place was as described, the highlight is of course the hot tub. We felt very comfortable. Thanks again for the homemade food.

Hari is a great host with excellent communication skills. The house is impeccable, functional and beautiful. The house has a great view from the rooms from the pool unfortunately the view is partially block by another building. Overall, an excellent place to stay with a big group.

The places is perfect.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Beautiful place and great host

What a wonderful house! We were surprised to be so close to 2 lovely beaches, great hikes and a delicious restaurant. We’re a family with 3 young kids and they loved the swing, swinging bench, jacuzzi, space to play inside. Dimitris left a baby crib, high chair, and toddler potty for us which was super helpful. The best was Dimitris was very kind upon greeting us late at night when we arrived.

A lovely, luxury appartment near the beach and about 30 minutes' walk from the old town of Chania. A well-equipped, clean and beautiful appartment, but above all the warm and friendly hostess Anastasia. She guided us around the area, brought local delicacies, stocked the fridge with food and even drove us to the grocery store with her car. We really enjoyed our stay at the appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others. You certainly wont't be disapointed!

If you love a vacation off the beaten track, away from the crowds of tourist resorts... this is your place. The house is located in a small village attached to the rock with stunning views of the Rokka gorge. The terrace you'll share with other guests is perfect for enjoying breakfast or an aperitif. Be aware that there are cats that come looking for food... for those with allergies... Marianna provided us with food for the first night and was always responsive to any questions or problems. Rokka is the ideal place to explore the beaches of the northwest of the island and Chania. The southwest beaches are at least an hour's drive away. We're taking beautiful memories with us Thank you.

A great ,spacious, quirky botique 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old city of Chania. Very clean with all the amenities, large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The good wifi and a washing machine were crucial for us. Best of all is the location which is on a lovely, narrow pedestrian cobblestone street in the old town. Restaurants galore and a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous harbor area. Of the 3 Crete cities ,Chania Rithymno, and Herakliona, Chania was the most beautiful and well kept. The best of the 3 to use as a base(We did day trips to the other two towns.) Gannis was abroad, but his friend Christina was so nice, and helpful .She met us where we parked the car and led us through the old town to the apartment.

This is a lovely apartment in a peaceful and beautiful location. It is spacious and practical. Kostas is a generous host and was very helpful with local information. We had a great time and can recommend without hesitation😊

There will not be enough superlatives to describe this place. The location overlooking the Venetian Harbor was amazing. The house is historic, beautiful and has all the amenities you will want. You literally won't believe the large rooftop deck with crazy views. The house had lots of interesting things to read, lots of space for a large group and it was stocked with maps and guidebooks. The neighborhood is completely safe. The in-person welcome from the hosts contained some really thoughtful surprises (you will need to find out yourself - I won't ruin the surprise welcome.). Georgia is a very gracious host. She welcomed us upon our arrival, showed us the supplies, and provided all the necessary information about the area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and quiet. It was also clean and spacious enough for all 11 of us.

We had a fantastic stay in Michalis's lovely corner suite. It was cozy, unique, and had everything we needed, plus nice extras like a washer, a second bathroom and street parking (just do an extra lap around the block). The location was ideal, with traditional windows opening to a garden and ruins, and it was a short walk to everything while being away from the Old City crowds. Michalis was an amazing host—very responsive, provided great local tips, and even took time to offer us coffee and chat. He’s definitely one of the best hosts I've ever met. I highly recommend this place and a stay with Michalis!!

We had a great time in Chania. The apartment is just down the road to the beach, wonderful for swimming and hanging out. It's also close to the old town with lots of shops, restaurants and tavernas. It was also convenient for grocery shopping on foot. We loved the back courtyard and spent a lot of time out there under the lemon tree, which supplied us with an abundance of fresh lemons. Thanks for the great time!

Cozy, traditional but modern space in beautiful surroundings. Very private, peaceful and lovely views. Now with a dipping pool! What clearly stands out is the love of detail in all amenities and that everything is very orderly. Absolutely love that! The perfect retreat. Enjoy!

Amazing place to stay while visiting Falasarna, close to restaurants and supermarkets. Great swimming pool. Host was very welcoming and helpful and also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and driving routes, we felt right at home. Thank you and hopefully we will be back some day.

Pros: - Peaceful and quiet location with amazing mountain scenes and lots of different birds that come very close to the house (spotted woodpeckers and vultures) - Nice pool and hammock - Lovely balconies (one bedroom and one near lounge) to have breakfast and dinner - Giorgos was very friendly and proactive on recommendations and instructions - Kitchen well supplied (we didnt try the stove though) - Exceptional restaurants around the area (far better than Chania) - Decent Wifi signal and speed (Wifi6) - 30-40 minutes drive to pretty much every main town/city (drive is very scenic) Things to note: - Taking suitcases down the bedrooms can be a little tricky as the stairs are narrow (also no bathroom downstairs) - Shower isnt always warm (unsure if this was because of solar panels) - You should be a good driver as some roads around can be very narrow and bendy.

Nikos and Joanna were excellent hosts. Clear instructions of how to find the villa and greeted us on arrival. The villa is immaculate, very high end finish and the surrounding area is stunning. Close to both Chania and the Marina, both worth a visit. We have had a brilliant time with the family and will definitely be back again!

Villa Despina is even nicer in reality than in the photos. The house is sparkling clean, beautifully designed by the owner himself, well appointed and super comfortable. We had everything we needed inside the property. There’s a really nice sitting area outside, a pool and sun loungers where you can soak u the sun almost for the entire day. The beds were super comfortable, air conditioned and had blackout electric shutters. Stelios was very helpful and friendly, checked in often but was not intrusive. Within 1 minute of the property you can find a small shop for groceries, and within 5 minutes walk you can get to a few restaurants, shops, and supermarkets, so it’s very conveniently located while still benefitting from enough privacy. We were very happy to choose this property and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Crete!

Andrea's villa and location was as wonderful as we'd hoped. We loved swimming in our private pool before breakfast and the view of the ocean from the terrace was outstanding, especially for sunsets, which were spectacular. The location was great, being situated away from crowds but with easy access to many beautiful beaches and tavernas. Andrea's handy hints were really useful, from where to refill water bottles from a spring, or which taverna on Sfinari beach to visit. He responded very quickly if we had any questions, so overall cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Thanks Andrea!

Nektaria and Niko’s’ hospitality is unmatched! They are such lovely and delightful people and made all of our family feel right at home from the moment we met them. The views and home are one of a kind! Such a special place my family will always remember. Absolutely would recommend to anyone visiting Crete and hope to be back again! :)

We had a wonderful stay — the place is beautiful with truly spectacular views. It’s a peaceful spot that really lets you unwind and enjoy the surroundings. What made the experience even better were the hosts. They live on the property, which gave it a genuine and personal Airbnb feel. They were incredibly friendly, approachable, and helpful — always happy to share recommendations and answer our questions. Their tips really helped us make the most of our time in the area. A great stay overall. Would definitely recommend!
