The place was just great! The apartment was beautifully and very tastefully decorated – you immediately notice that a lot of love for detail was put into the work here. We particularly liked the quiet location, which allowed us to really relax and enjoy the Danish hospitality. We can only highly recommend this property and would come back again anytime!

We were very happy with the place. Very quiet in an idyllic setting. The beach is less than 2 minutes walk and you are completely alone there most of the time. The beach is a sandy beach and totally clean. Walking in the water we recommend to bring water shoes, because the first few meters in the sea are rocky. All in all, I highly recommend it!

We booked the place with several families for a few days - we all enjoyed it very much - due to the many possibilities - you always had something to do - definitely recommended. The only drawback - the rooms for sleeping - are quite small - and for some reason the second side of the closet is always screwed on. The beds on the plateau should be planned - only with two people - we had two larger children there - it is too high for small children and never fit there - there is also no closet for these. Keep this in mind when booking - if you're really a lot of people.

The place was perfect for our short vacation. The proximity to the beach and the large garden were a dream in the good weather.

Surrounded by peaceful gardens, open fields, and quiet country roads, the whole setting radiates that unique Danish feeling — hygge at its best. Alina was incredibly helpful and responsive whenever we had questions, even from a distance. Her care and attentiveness made everything smooth and easy. We already know this won’t be our last stay at Ærø Diaries. Huge thanks to Alina!

We were allowed to be guests at Bakkehuset for 5 days and enjoyed the time by the sea very much. There was nothing missing. Rikke is a very kind host. Thanks!

The house of Anna Lise is wonderfully quiet and offers everything for a relaxing stay. The three comfortably furnished terraces invite you to sit outside from early to late. I felt completely comfortable and lacked nothing.

We found Lars‘s place very calming. The Location was nice. It was very quiet. A shirt Distance to open water. In which the dog could play and have fun. The House was the optimal size for two people plus a dog.

We really only have positives to report. A nice, clean place to stay that fits the description and pictures. We particularly liked the view and the proximity to the Baltic Sea. So it's ideal with children who like to stay in the water. The existing SUPs were the special highlight of our children. Anna is a good host and the contact was always great. The nice welcome with a nice menu, treats and little things for the children also put us in the holiday mood. We would always recommend them and would be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful stay in the beach house, very well furnished, pretty inside and out, everything you need, we were there for three full days and we could have stayed there just as long. Quiet environment, walking distance to a pretty beach with a pontoon to get into the water, our children and ourselves were delighted, we highly recommend it. Nicole answered all of our questions quickly and kindly.

The house was easy to find, tucked away in a private quiet corner with a beautiful sweeping driveway and circular graveled area to approach the house. Mature plants and a lawn… it felt like coming home to my childhood sanctuary and parent’s well cared for home. So perfect. Inside Steffen left essentials for the night (toilet roll, soap, washing up liquid and dishcloths etc) so all we needed to buy from the nearby shops (walking distance) was coffee and tea. He even thoughtfully left us a few coffee filters. The rooms were immaculate. White sheets and towels. Good quality blinds and curtains so we could sleep well and a feeling of complete safety and peace. Two lounges, a big desk (we used for puzzles) and a stunning dining room in-front of panoramic windows, not to mention the outside seating zones and the kitchen all allowed everyone to spread out and find their spots to relax. We took a brief stroll along the beach and pier, photos as the sun went down in the garden. Fab!

We stayed at Anne's house for 2 weeks, with our 2 dogs. The house is a little alternative, which we love. The large garden is fenced, the fence about 80 cm high. The Baltic Sea is about a 5-minute walk. We felt very comfortable! The only thing we were missing was a few hangers or a closet. Funen is worth a trip!
