We were a family of six people. The Reef House provided a perfect setting for a much anticipated family holiday. The provisions, the support of the owner and the onsite assistant was excellent. The layout of the home meant that we had plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy the beautiful environment.

We had an amazing stay! The house is perfect: nestled in a big tropical garden very well mantained, the verandah open on the garden and see, the pool where the girls had to jump in every morning the second they woke up! Robert was very helpful: he welcomed us at the airport to carry our luggage at the house and even took us to the local supermarket. The hidden gem of our stay has definitely been Rosie who was coming in everyday to clean the house, do dishes and laundry, always with a smile. Her help and kindness have been very much appreciated and contributed to a really relaxing holiday. We highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our time staying at The Cove with the most AMAZING Snorkelling right at the front door 🤿🌊🐚🪸🐠🦑🪼🦀🐟🐙🐡 It was definitely the highlight of our relaxing vacation, which is what we came here to do. It was a 60th Birthday present to each other, and we stayed a fortnight. The Cove has everything you could want or need, and we loved having the whole place to ourselves with plenty of space, and not just in a room at a resort. The hosts were wonderful to deal with and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy. We definitely recommend having a car whilst there, although it was also wonderful being able to just stroll few minutes to 3 deferent resorts close by for dinner and cocktails 🍹 🍸 We are very grateful to have had this lovely place to stay, and wonderful experience.

We loved everything about our stay. The house worked beautifully for 3 couples. We had everything we needed. The position is superb, especially in The South Easterly Tradewinds. The infinity pool is long enough to do many laps…..simply gorgeous. The care taker ‘Brightly’ is an absolute gem & added bucket loads to our Vanuatu experience, & his help was invaluable when leaving at 4.30 am. Delightful stay.

Lydia and Dave have cultivated a beautiful garden oasis on the ocean! Our stay was quiet and relaxing, with daily dog visits that we really enjoyed. The listing is very accurate, both with pictures and property descriptions, and the hosts are very approchable if you have any questions during the stay. Renting a car would make it easier to get around, but we had no issues flagging down a minibus anytime we wanted to go into port vila - returning was a little tricky, but ask any bus driver where the stop for the Mele buses are, and they'll point you in the right direction. As previous guests have noted, the bungalow does have a thatched roof, and there is no aircon - but we were able to stay comfortable with the ceiling fans and ocean breeze. There is an awesome coral reef right off the property, as well as a small tide pool for the less adventurous that is great to sit in, and has plenty of sea creatures to check out. Thanks Lydia and Dave, it was the perfect retreat!

Having been to Vanuatu many times, this was by far a great stay which provided a real taste of being part of the local way of living with the inclusion of all the modern comforts of home. Agnes was a real gem and an amazing host.

The photos don’t do this place justice. The block of land is HUGE, and very private. The ocean pool is divine - no need for a swimming pool when you have that: the water was just amazing. We spent most of our time on the deck listening to the waves and the birds. No one around to disturb the peace. We will be back!

“Vanuatu’s Hidden Gem” Review: Our stay at this Airbnb in Vanuatu was extraordinary. Advised to bring snorkels, we were thrilled to discover amazing snorkelling just at the garden’s end. It was a spectacular show of marine life, surpassing any paid reef trip we’ve experienced. The property was paradise personified. Cooking Christmas dinner over an open fire and mixing cocktails in the well-equipped kitchen was delightful. The place’s beauty far exceeded the photos; it’s a true paradise. The beds provided utmost comfort, and the perfect weather enhanced our experience. The onsite staff were notably kind and helpful, adding to our stay’s pleasure. This Airbnb is a gem, offering a blend of natural beauty, comfort, and warm hospitality. It’s a must-visit destination.
