Amazing stay - perfect stay on the lake. Lovely clean house on the lake. Lovely added extra of the double Kayak. Only downside - is no sun on the deck in the afternoon.

We have had a lovely stay at the boathouse which was just amazing! The boat house its self is beautiful, clean and comfortable with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! It is very well equipt, plenty of towels, blankets and even robes. We loved the hot tub with views over the lake. The location of the boathouse was just perfect for us and the views were stunning! We took our own paddle boards and was so happy to be able to launch straight from the jetty to explore the lake. My daughter also loved feeding the ducks from the jetty. We have had a busy few days on local bike trails, hikes, paddle boarding, boating and having some lovely meals out in beautiful Bowness, but always looked forward to returning to the boathouse! We will definitely be returning! Thank you

Will & Amanda go above and beyond to make their guests stay wonderful. Check in was so easy with very detailed communication. They provided a lovely welcome book with info on the area, what’s to do, places to visit etc . The house was immaculate and very comfortable with everything you needed. The surroundings were super tranquil and just the perfect spot to relax with family. It was so lovely to simply sit and watch the wildlife outside and activity on the lake ❤️ Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway from a normally fast paced life. Lovely couple of nights stay. Peaceful, close to country walks and runs, village pub and we also paid a visit to the Cotswold Sculpture Park. Pauline was very prompt at replying to a couple of messages and the house was very clean. We were discussing doing the same trip again next year!

Such a wonderful location with use of the lake for paddleboarding and sailing……. Property was brilliant and well presented. Kate was always on hand to answer any questions and very responsive. Would be more than happy to return again.

A very beautiful and unique haven in the countryside. We loved the remote woodland location and spent an idyllic couple of days here relaxing together as a small family. The accommodation had plenty of room for the four of us and we loved being close to nature for a few days enjoying woodland walks on our doorstep. We had everything we needed to cook nice meals and all slept well in the comfortables beds and quiet setting. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of ducks on the lake. James was a great host and very quick to get back to us when we had a query. We'll definitely come back.

Really lovely house on the lake. Its a good location for walking, paddleboarding, etc. and there are a couple of lovely pubs in the village (circa 15 minute walk). The place is spacious, and the outside decking area is a big plus. Certainly we'd book this property again.

The apartment is finished to a lovely standard. It’s fresh, modern and beautifully maintained with a lovely rustic feel. Everything we needed was there. The things we used, such as crockery, towels and the kitchen appliances were good quality items. Overall, we enjoyed everything about our stay.

Lovely stay in this apartment for our trip to Liverpool. Perfectly situated with views of the marina and sights of Liverpool. 15/20 minute walk into city centre and Albert Dock. Apartment was clean and comfortable - perfect for our needs. Good communication from the host Lorraine which was a bonus. Would highly recommend this apartment

Our stay was beautiful! The apartment was stunning, the pictures don’t do this interior justice. It was clean, warm and we had the best night sleep! There were so many lovely little editions for our kids too including colouring books, board games and beach toys. The local area was quiet but with the beach, a playground and restaurant on our door step, our first day meant we had everything we needed whilst we navigated the local area. The welcome book was really thorough as well! The pages on things to do was really helpful and we ended up going to dinosaur park for the day- a great choice! We would definitely recommend this apartment and location!

Jen’s place is an absolute gem. The house, garden, and surroundings are beautifully kept, and we were warmly welcomed, with clear guidance about the amenities and local area. Great pressure in the shower and slept like a log every night. The Sail Loft is immaculately clean, and is the perfect place to stay in the area. Thanks for having us Jen & Andy!

fantastic apartment in a great location not too bad pub within 2 minute walk also beach not too far away either you can walk to Filey v beach in about 50 minutes or Hunmandy gap in around 25 minutes Excellent clean apartment with a tv in living room and an additional one in bedroom easy check in great kitchen and facilities would highly recommend

Worked really well for us, great location both for town and restaurants (5 mins, Fellpack recommended but book ahead) and local walking. Accommodation was as described, very clean, comfy bed and good / full kitchen equipment. Thanks Steve and Irena.

This is our second short break to the cottage. The location is perfect, with views to the lake and wildlife from the window. The cottage is very comfortable and has a great shower in the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and there was a welcome pack including milk, bread, butter, jams and tea and coffee sachets. The farm shop and cafe, which serves excellent breakfasts is a few yards away. There are lovely walks around the lake. An ideal location for a relaxed get-away.

We absolutely loved this place! It was so peaceful and private, close to the lake literally 5/10 minutes walk. The cottage was extremely clean and catered for your every need, we had a lovely stay thank you to Emma and Greg.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. This was our third stay - the cottage is perfect for our family of four plus a dog. Despite some wet weather, we happily filled a week with swims in the loch/play on the boats, lovely walks around the farm tracks, biking at the nearby bike tracks, visiting waterfalls and castles. The cottage had everything we needed, it was very spacious and the lovely log burner kept us cosy on the cool evenings. Joe and Sue were both super helpful hosts, making us feel very welcome, and we would definitely like to stay again.

This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The cottage was well equipped probably one of the best I’ve stayed in. We had the perfect stay relaxing and exploring nature locally. I dare say it won’t be the last time I stay here. Just magical.

Lovely cottage ideally located on the edge of Windermere town, Walked to the lake and travelled by boat to Brockhole and returned on the bus. Good transport and restaurants. Thank you Mark - we really enjoyed our stay.

We had such a wonderful stay, a very beautiful house in a picturesque setting. The hot tub and sauna were a real treat and worth booking! Mark and Ruth were such lovely hosts with great communication and lots of thoughtful touches. We would highly recommend the house and location for both couples and families and look forward to staying again.

A gorgeous bolt hole for three weeks of blissful walks and peace. The private access to the lake was great for us as swimmers; easy to get home and warm up! I really liked the laundry room after our walks - could was and dry clothes really easily. Comfortable bed, kitchen perfect for self catering and relaxing sofa and tv and bath at the end of the day.

Wood Cottage is absolutely beautiful. The house is well equipped and perfectly maintained. The setting is extraordinary with beautiful gardens with plenty of privacy and peace. Thanks to Samantha and Andy’s instructions it’s also easy to find, whereas the post code is a little more difficult. Their communication was proactive and timely, but not at all intrusive. The sauna, plunge pool and hot tub are a real treat, although the hot tub is a little temperamental in that we struggled to get some of the jets to work. However, given that is the only room for improvement we could identify on the accommodation, it’s clear that a stay at Wood Cottage comes highly recommended and we hope to return!
