Our family of 3 loved staying in the houseboat. It was a great hideaway in the middle of the city. The boat was even larger than we expected and very comfortable.

Boutique Central London Narrowboat

Hello, We were two adults ans two kids and there was plenty of room to accommodate us 4. We had a great stay and a warm welcome. The location is great in Little Venice. Of course, if you go for this type of accommodation you know it will be somewhat different and exciting and this is exactly what you’ll get. Brushing your teeth with geese and ducks passing by - you can’t beat that.

River Meadow Retreat luxury cabin: heated & fenced

MarkRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Quick One – Fantastic. Loved it. Would book again (Weather could not have been better) Longer Version (perhaps for those, like us, whom have not stayed in a Shepherds Hut/this area before) - I found and booked this as was looking for a bit of a break, in isolation, with some nice country around it and a few walks (hopefully to a pub). Jackpot – this was EXACTLY that, and more. The hut is a lovely place to stay. Great location, fantastic places to eat and drink, (some of which are within a relatively easy walking distance (20-40 mins, depending on which way you go)) Hut is not that small. The bed is fantastic – big and comfortable. (My favourite part of the day was waking up early and watching the low morning sun on the fields, sheep, trees and hills beyond, through various windows, from bed…. and I am not usually an early morning person, but this was special). There is quite a lot of attention to detail. It is very well done. Loved the unusual BBQ (want one) and firepit. Thanks E&J

Beautiful widebeam boat - london

KathleenRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Alex was extremely helpful before we even arrived answering questions and mooring the boat in a perfect location for us (just next to wedding venue we were attending). The boat was very comfortable and straightforward to get used to in terms of power, etc. There are some really thoughtful arrangements to make stay more comfortable and being able to feel at home straight away, like lots of storage and plenty of fuel the fire, etc. It is a fantastic way to enjoy being in London, but still having a lovely peaceful and unique place to stay. Thank you to a very kind and considerate host!

River Mill Retreat

What an incredible stay! Trevor created us at the gate, he was extremely welcoming and gave us a tour of the boat and surrounding land. The pictures do not do this location justice. Trevor has done incredible with making this the cleanest, most homely place we have ever had the chance to stay at. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future. Cannot recommend it enough!

A Truly Unique Stay!
We had an unforgettable time staying on this canal boat in Zone 1! The location was absolutely perfect – right in the heart of London, with everything we wanted to see just a short walk or tube ride away. We were close to all the iconic spots, plus heaps of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The boat itself was spectacular. It had so much charm and character, and was super cosy. Everything we needed was right there – from a fully equipped kitchen to comfy bedding. Waking up to the views on the canal was such a special touch – so peaceful and relaxing, yet we were in the middle of the action. Martin, the host, was brilliant – super friendly and gave us plenty of helpful tips for the local area. We’ll definitely be back the next time we're in London. Highly recommend if you're looking for something a little different and a lot of fun!

Tamanzi Taggs-floating home on idyllic island

CiaranRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you’re looking for a unique getaway with a welcoming host and a gorgeous setting, this is the place for you! From the moment we arrived, Linda, the host, greeted us with a smile and the wonderful surprise of a freshly baked loaf of bread, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel right at home. In fact, thoughtful is the watchword here, the houseboat was stocked with everything you could possibly need, the fridge was fully stocked with essentials like milk, butter, jams, infused water, and Linda even had a selection of ice creams for us. The property itself is in a peaceful location, but still close to so many places, for example Hampton Court Palace is within walking distance. It was spotless and wonderfully maintained, the bed was huge and the attention to detail exceptional, even leaving duck feed for us to feed the ducks and Swans that swam up to our door. We didn’t use the Sauna but I highly recommend the Swedish Hot Tub, it made what was already a relaxing experience

Scorpio Little Venice

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Chris is such a wonderful host. He offered us early check in, met us at the boat to acquaint us with the necessary functions, and suggested local restaurants and activities. He’d stocked the kitchen with the essentials (milk, butter, bread, tea, coffee etc) and left a vase of fresh tulips to welcome us. The boat was the perfect accommodation for the two of us, beds were comfy, water was hot, the kitchen had all we needed. One evening was cool and the heaters kept the place cozy and warm. We got to see ducklings, baby swans, and all the people strolling the canals of little Venice. It was a glorious few days and we hope to return.

The Floating Terrarium

RichardRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My wife & I stayed here for a couple of nights for our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time, the boat is really lovely and spacious for two, as per the photos with a great shower. Hackney Wick is a very lively place with lots of bars and restaurants and the boat is about 5-10mins walk from the main area so easy to get to but nice & peaceful to retreat to. The is a Tesco close by and a Sainsbury’s in Hackney Wick which are handy, there is a cafe called the breakfast club right next to the boat which is ok and handy for the morning you leave. For a nicer breakfast we walked to Burnt Umber which was superb. We ate one night at the Italian, Gotto Trattoria which is also right next to the boat and did lovely food (pizza, pasta, olives etc) and a bottle of wine for c.£30 per person. For our anniversary meal we got an £10 Uber to Shoreditch and went to Olivia’s which was an amazing meal & experience for c.£60 per person. Overall I think you’ll love it.

The Ark Houseboat with Hot Tub - York

RuthRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I've just returned from a 2-night stay on the Ark with a small group of friends and family. On arriving, I met Kerrie, who had just been to do a final check of the boat. She was lovely and made me feel very welcome. The boat is just beautiful and in a gorgeous, peaceful setting. Everything was as described. The boat was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed I slept in was so comfortable and the shower was nice and powerful. The hot tub is well worth going in. Very clean and with a great view of the river when inside it. The site the boat is moored at is just lovely. A great cafe where we all had a delicious breakfast in the sun. Although there were quite a lot of people around (the weather was beautifully warm and sunny) we never felt overlooked when sitting on the terrace of the boat. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. York was only a 10-15 minute taxi ride away (costing about £13),making the Ark such a great location for visiting the city. I can't wait to rebook!

Serene Waterlodge 2 bed houseboat in quiet harbour

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Had a lovely, relaxing 2 night stay here with our 3 children. The boat was cosy but still packed with all essentials. Nicely decorated. The kids loved meeting the ducks and fish, and playing on the decks. Gorgeous, peaceful views. Shame the onsite restaurant was no longer open but there was a delightful 20 minute walk along the river to a local pub for dinner. Jo was very responsive to a couple of small issues that arose during our stay. We would definitely visit again.

All we expected & more. A truly wonderful place to stay. My partner & I were looking for somewhere to stay for a quiet romantic weekend & this was the perfect place! Beautifully tranquil & relaxing setting. We loved the boat & went out onto the lake a couple of times ☺ If anyone wanted to venture out anywhere, we visited Lydford Gorge one day, which was lovely (only a 15min drive). Kyle was an excellent host, very friendly & communicated everything we needed to know.
