BATHROOM OUTSIDE AND SHARED
“Lovely place in El Triunfo, with much more than what you can see here in the ad! The cabins are located within walking distance from El Triunfo main road (this is a very small town nowadays). The place is super quiet and during the night you fall asleep by listening only to crickets and other animals grazing nearby. But if you don't want to fully disconnect, there's good network coverage here and the wifi worked fine too. The commodities are also great: there's a dining area (you can order food and drinks there during the day), a swimming pool with a sun lounge area, etc. The decoration all around is tastefully rustic and simple. The whole team working there is always taking care of its maintenance - thus everything is quite clean, even if the toilets/showers are shared. Moreover, everyone at the cabins are friendly and concerned with your wellbeing. I felt really welcomed there, so this is definitely a place to come back in the future - and preferably with more time to spend there!”
“If you want to experience life in an authentic Mexican village, Magdiel’s place is a must. It's in the hills above La Ventana and has a beautiful view of the bay. It's off the grid with solar and a wind generator for lights, cell phone charging and a 12v chest style refrigerator. There's a cell signal on the terrace if you need to stay connected and a fenced garden with fruit trees and a palapa to keep your car shaded. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal and a gas stove top for cooking. There is a stove top coffee maker as the solar can not handle any heating appliances. The bathroom is supplied with toiletries and towels. This is a great place to get away and experience nature!”
If you like the privacy of not having neighbors close by and living away from town but close enough to zip into town when you want this is a great place. It is also completely solar powered and off grid but with all the amenities of town homes. It is quiet at night with the predominant sounds being that of the desert and ocean as we are two miles up the canyon from the beach. Mi casa es su casa so you can build a fire in the pit, bbq on your big deck, or stargaze from your hammock.
“Beautiful isolated spot! We definitely want to return! Note the “isolated” reference — it’s totally up our alley, but may not be for some tourists. If you are comfortable with the rare possibility of a power outage or not getting hot water for a brief period, you will be fine here and enjoy everything it has to offer! Remember, this is true off the grid living, which we loved. The views are outstanding. The dogs are precious. Gabe and Juan are very responsive. So quiet and peaceful. Morning coffee on the roof was a daily ritual we loved and already miss. Must have a vehicle; it’s too far to walk from the house into town or the beach (and we like to walk/hike). Can’t wait to return and see all the additions taking shape. Thank you!!”
