Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Edam-Volendam

We’ve enjoyed staying at Gerrit’s place. Host was friendly and communicated well. House has a lovely little garden 🏡, and beautiful surroundings 🌳🏡. It’s a peaceful neighborhood! highly recommended :)

Cleo and her Co-host Marleen were very welcoming and responsive. We felt at home. Lots of toys and games for younger children. Very cozy house. Naturally beautiful area good for hiking and biking.

The place is quiet. You can easily get to Amsterdam by bus (stop less than 5min walk away). There is a supermarket and a bakery 2min walk away (ideal for breakfast). The free parking space just in front of the house is also great. The accommodation is also very close to the Zaanse Schans mills (15min drive), 35 min drive to Keukenhof and 25/30min drive to Edam, Volendam and Marken… And finally, there is the Het Twiske 10/15min walk to walk or run (for running enthusiasts). Overall we had a nice stay. Thanks to Tirsa for her availability and the small touches offered for our arrival (stroopwafels, chocolate eggs and apples).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the accommodation was perfect, spacious, clean, well presented, comfortable. The games room and bikes were a nice bonus. The location was great for Amsterdam central, Leon and his family were happy to help with taxi service and it made it a super easy experience. It was also nice to come to a much quieter area to stay and escape the busy city. Leon answered all of our questions, explained everything well, you couldnt ask for more from an air BnB stay.

Ideally situated (20 minutes from Amsterdam city center) in a beautiful , peaceful setting. A real family house, warm and welcoming. We have had a great time.

Excellent location! Excellent Host! If you haven’t planned on what to do when in Netherlands just follow the recommendations provided by Michelle. They are much better than what we see on social media. Kids loved the place, lots of activities - play area, garden, games - to keep them busy.

Very nice little apartment, furnished with many loving details. The host is very friendly and accommodating. The jacuzzi is private and also very lovingly furnished. We enjoyed it very much.

Stayed here with friends for a week. House was perfect, with plenty of space and a lovely garden with hot tub. Was a great location for exploring the Netherlands. Highly recommended!

We spent the Easter weekend here with 6 adults and 3 children. Everything was there No wishes for the accommodation were left unfulfilled. For families with small children, it should be said that there is no playground or similar on the premises, but this has nothing to do with the house or the hosts. The bike paths around the house are a dream. Thank you for this opportunity to spend family time.

Loving, special, small house with everything you need. The location is perfect: quiet and idyllic and yet Amsterdam can be reached quickly. We enjoyed the bakery ( 2 min walk) and the small shops in the village very much.

We visited as a family of four with our dog, and the house was a perfect space for our stay. Martijn's house is in a convenient location, Purmerend, in a nice and quiet neighborhood with convenient access to supermarkets and restaurants. The location has easy access to Amsterdam (in 30 minutes by car or public transportation) and to other attractions, like Dutch villages Zaanse Schans and Volendam within 20 minutes by car. There are nice beaches within 30-40 minute drive, and it is also easy to go north or south to explore anywhere in the Netherlands from the house. Martijn is a warm and responsive host. He is very flexible and helpful in providing information. The house is well equipped with almost everything you'd need for a relaxing holiday with family. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Martijn's house for a summer holiday!

The place was surprisingly amazing, the house was clean and had everything needed for a fine holiday. I highly suggest people to stay there. There are 2 couples bedroom and a huge bedroom with 7-8 beds. A huge dining room, kitchen was nice. A big balcony with sofas and tables. You can have a fine dinner just outside as there are many restaurants. We got 15% discount on one meal which was a great deal. You can find any means of transportation with in 15 minutes walk. All kinds of shops are avaliable in the area. Amsterdam central is not so far away. Everything was good. Highly recommended. 🤩🤩

Had a great few days here the pictures didn’t do the property justice it was way better than the photographs will definitely be staying here again and the host was fantastic

very good stay in this beautiful apartment in a very good location, close to the sea with very good restaurants, close proximity to bus stops to visit Amsterdam and others. Everything comes together for a great stay. The city of Volendam is very peaceful and pleasant to stay in, especially very clean. We highly recommend it.

The place was quiet. The cottage was very clean and nicely furnished. So you felt right at home. Victor and his wife were very friendly and always responsive. The property can be fully recommended. There is a lot of beautiful things to explore nearby, such as the center of Edam or the promenade of Volendam. Be sure to travel by bus to Amsterdam. Super easy and you're in the city center very quickly.
