Had an absolutely unreal stay! It was honestly a magical experience from start to finish. The location was so peaceful and wholesome, offering the perfect retreat. Even with the snow and ice, the atmosphere was just perfect — it really added to the charm of the place. The only downside? We only stayed one night! I wish we could have stayed longer to fully soak in the beauty of it all. I couldn’t recommend this place more; it was such a fun and memorable time. A true gem!

From booking to checkout, everything was prefect. Damian was extremely helpful with instructions and recommendations. The place is impeccably maintained and had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay at the Shepherds hut. The hut itself was a cute little space with log burning fire (and kettle that went on top!) and had a separate sheltered outdoor cooking space and bathroom. We went with our dog and she had a blast playing in the fenced field that the hut sits in. The location is perfect for exploring Newcastleton and the local area. We didn't go this time but it would be a good spot to stay if visiting the Kielder observatory. As the hut is a short one mile walk out of Newcastleton it has great dark skies so star gazing can be done directly from the hut. Cammy and Grace were great hosts. Would stay again.

Cute, well stocked apartment in the centre of Lockerbie. They very accommodating to dogs as well. Also the Just Be cafe nearby is phenomenal!

Absolutely incredible stay, the views alone are worth the visit. But the quality, coziness and cleanliness of the Lodge was second to none. Finished with lots of personal touches as well. Thanks so much Mandy, we will definitely be coming back as our new no1 Lake District spot.

Sallys’ bothy was the perfect stay for me and my partner. Wanted a few days away from work to get some peace and be away from the city. Sally’s bothy fitted the bill nicely. Unfortunately we were after a warm cosy stay so we didn’t get to take in the outstanding natural beauty of the place we were in, which was a shame as Sallys’ bothy was kitted out with everything you could possibly need to aid you on a hike. Loads of tour guide leaflets with many trail walks and activities to do. Provided you with everything you needed and more! The place its self was warm, cosy, comfortable and spacious. It was truly beautiful and had a lot of personal touches. Really felt like a home, was just perfect. Sally is a great host, super friendly and prompt communication. Gave clear instructions how to arrive at the Bothy. Would definitely recommend staying there, great for the family or just need a break away. Only regret was we didn’t bring the dog :)

A lovely experience, where we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage was not only super clean but also very cosy. It was nice to unwind in such a charming space.
