Guesthouse vacation rentals in East Sikkim

We had a 3 night stay at Sanjay's place and though it was pretty warm at Kalimpong, the house was cool, covered with greenery all around. If you like places which are away from the hustle and bustle, tucked within greenery, then this is the place to go. Food was homely and delicious. My 10 year old son was busy througout the stay playing in the adjoining areas in the property. We were travelling with old parents and my wife was recovering from a fractured foot so when we navigated through the flight of stairs to reach to our cottage, they did not seem happy. But all of that was gone the next days as they enjoyed all the walk they could get amidst the purity of nature. Sanjay and his staff are super responsive and always there with a smile. So in short, if you are looking at this property and reading my review, my suggestion would be to go ahead and book.

Sherpas home stay was a wonderful and peaceful retreat. It's located away from the busy city centre and is at walking distance from a monastery. Sherpa was proactively communicating with us and helped us also with travelling around Sikkim. Such a tranquil stay, will definitely visit again!

We felt right at home at Sherpa’s homestay. The location was peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The host and his wife were extremely helpful and friendly with home cooked meals, tea and an amazing view of the valley. Couldn’t ask for more.

This is a really nice place to stay, wonderful views from the rooms. Everyone was so nice, helpful and well mannered. This is only 15-20min away from Mall road. Only one problem is there, You have to climb a lot to reach the homestay. But overall experience was so good. Thank you so much.

This was honestly the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The room was super clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and everything worked perfectly. A special shoutout to Anmol, who was incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. The view from our room was wonderful—waking up to it every morning was a highlight. The whole place had a nice, relaxing vibe, and the design was modern but welcoming. Everything felt calm and well taken care of. Overall, a great experience, and we’d love to come back.

Excellent view and amazing hosts !

The location itself is beautiful with in a tea estate, Alka is great host and hospitality was top notch. I saw 2 negatives overall, 1) beds were hard as rock and felt like sleeping on floor 2) entire structure was made of bamboo so you would hear everything going on outside hindering a good sleep. However Alka’s sweetness made up for all of these.

Had a great stay at here.The price was reasonable, and the area offered a calm retreat with easy access to the city. The host was always responsive, sharing helpful local tips and recommendations throughout my trip. The host was also warm and interactive throughout the stay, making me feel welcomed and well looked after. Their personal touch really enhanced the overall experience. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Gangtok and would definitely love to come back in the future!

Tanya's place was truly lovely. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had an amazing view. The staff were extremely polite, helpful and accomodating. They were very attentive and the food was amazing. They even cooked us special meals and helped us carry our luggage all the way down to the taxi stand. _/\_ The home stay location was very convenient and just off the beaten path enough to be private and quiet while very closely connected to the main square Chowrasta where all the hustle & bustle is happening. Numerous things to do at walking distance. We enjoyed some rest watching TV and sipping on tea. Definitely staying here everytime I visit Darjeeling. Thank you for having us again. See you soon. ^_^

Our stay at Takdah Bungalow 16 for 3 nights went beautifully. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It was great interacting with the host Sangmu and her family. The food served was homely and delicious. And the cherry on top was Kuro, an adorable Husky. Would definitely recommend staying here.

One word - AWESOME great rooms cheap rates AND TERRACE VIEW IS 🔥🔥🔥 literally
