Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Dundee

Our family enjoyed the house very much. It is very roomy and kids just could not stop play games running around :-). It was well positioned for our trips to Inverness and Isle of Skye. We loved our stay.

Lovely find. The Smoke House is like stepping into a warm hug. We all loved the quirkiness of it. The fabulous social spaces. Really enjoyed our stay. So generously stocked with essentials.

Such a comfortable cottage, suited for all weathers. We sat out in the backyard, enjoying the sun and then plenty of games to play when the weather changed, as it does in Scotland. Having the Co-op opposite was extremely handy and parking was never an issue. An ideal place to tour the surrounding area and enjoy Callander’s shops and restaurants. Thankyou Meg

Beautiful home, the perfect base for our fishing team near to Pitlochry. Property was very well kept, tidy and clean. Location was great in moulin for a quick beer and dinner at the pub opposite. And only a short 15minute walk into the main town. Thanks again for hosting us.

Our month long stay at Fortrenn was an unforgettable experience that left us feeling rejuvenated, inspired and in love with Scotland. The cottage itself is a charming blend of traditional Scottish architecture and modern amenities. It features cozy rooms adorned with local artwork and comfortable furnishings that made us feel instantly at home. The living area was particularly inviting, with a fireplace that added warmth and character to the space. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to easily prepare our own meals. One of the highlights of Fortrenn was the master bedroom, which offered panoramic views of the loch. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a luxurious bathtub. The combination of stunning natural beauty, charming accommodations, and warm hospitality helped to create our perfect vacation. Fortrenn proved to be the ideal base from which to explore all that this remarkable region has to offer. We hope to be able to return one day soon!

We have stayed at Black Rocks several times and have never been dissapoined. Loren is lovely and very responsive. The village is very welcoming and we would highly recommend the Anchor Hotel for food and local atmosphere. A very special place, just perfect!

We’ve been going to st fillans for many years and loved how close this was to the Loch and the play park as well as being handy for walks! Sean was very accommodating to a request we made and communicated well with us throughout. Will happily stay again in the near future!

We loved our visit to Edinburgh and loved staying at the King’s Chamber. What an amazing location! Restaurants, sites, and tours all within steps. Very comfortable accommodations. The description and pictures were accurate and the chambers were very clean and comfortable. We would gladly stay here again!

I absolutely loved my stay at Susie and Amit's Edinburgh apartment! It was so spacious for a city apartment, and the location was amazing. I was traveling alone for the first time internationally, and I always felt comfortable in the space and neighborhood. I easily walked to every place I was hoping to visit. The apartment was clean, and I was particularly impressed by how comfortable the bed and pillows were. I visited during a time that was warmer than Edinburgh usually is for May, but keeping some windows open created a good cross current of cool air. Overall, the location was pretty peaceful, other than some weekend revelries in Grassmarket on Friday night. It was still manageable by just closing a couple windows that opened in that direction though. Susie was absolutely delightful to work with and quickly answered any question I had. I would 10/10 recommend (and hope to get to return sometime in the future)!

We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Fabulous location, beautiful home and incredibly responsive host who thought of everything to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I especially enjoyed the local history and guidebooks in the apartment and took advantage of his recommendations. The coffee shop next door is run by the nicest people with the best flat whites and pastries !

Great stay. There isn’t anything that hasn’t been thought of. Incredible value for money. Would be my go to accommodation if I return to the area. Particularly good location if attending weddings at the Cow Shed a short walk away.

Location perfect and very peaceful. The apartment is well appointed and quite large, very suitable for four adults. About half an hour walk to the main shopping precinct and tourist area. Ross was a terrific host and always prompt at responding. I would recommend.

Absolutely loved this place!!!! perfect location, comfy beds, safe area, and all the charm of Scotland. the washer and dryer unit was not so great but wouldn't stop me from a 5 star review!

Flat was lovely, perfect for a stay in Edinburgh, Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle, St James Quarter all within a short walk. Plenty of bars, coffee shops & restaurants on the doorstep too. The flat was welcoming, cosy and like a home from home. Very clean and spacious too. Would definitely stay here again and will also recommend to friends & family going to Edinburgh for a break.

It was a wonderful place to stay with great scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere . The hosts Alexandra and David were such great people which made the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable house right in the heart of Newtonmore - was a perfect location for a family winter break. Lots of space with 2 lounges and generously sized bedrooms. Really well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen in particular plus lots of games and books for the wet days (there were a few!). Off-street parking, nearby co-op shop and responsive hosts made for a stress free and enjoyable stay. We hope to be back!

What an amazing house and location. We have had a magical Christmas with everything we needed; walks, tennis, piano. The layout of the house and expansive living space suited us very well. The dog was as thrilled as her humans. The kitchen/dining room/glassware/crockery/cutlery are genuinely set up for a huge number which makes catering so much easier. As long as you don’t mind a short walk, Banchory is accessible by foot- you need a head torch in Winter! Definitely on the repeat list!

I can’t say enough about this place and how lovely Ian and Flo were in being such great hosts. Not only was the house fantastic but they were so kind and helpful… It was like staying with good friends.!

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

We really enjoyed our stay at “The Stables”, the pictures are brilliant but the place in person is even better! We booked the accommodation for my best friends hen weekend and it really had the best aesthetic. The layout of the living area and kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms was great. Everything was up to date and clean… apart from (unfortunately) the outside kitchen… it was pretty gross, hadn’t been cleaned and there was empty glass bottle and glasses all over this areas. It was really not great, especially if we had gone ahead with hiring a private chef as this is the area we were going to use… glad we didn’t. The other parts of outside were lovely, hot tub and seating areas etc. On the Saturday we were quite shocked and not very comfortable with hotel staff just wondering in and out of our accommodation to get chairs out of a store in the back?! This really wasn’t acceptable, especially being a group of young ladies in swimwear having drinks outside, apparently they were allowed.

This is a lovely house with beautiful views in a fantastic location! We got very lucky with sunny weather during our stay meaning we could make the most of the gorgeous surroundings - we did white water rafting on the River Tay and enjoyed the Taymouth Marina spa, all of which were a short drive away from the house. The house was just as described and pictured and the hosts were great - they were very responsive and flexible, allowing us to have both an early checkin and late check out. There is a good amount of parking at the property and the kitchen was well stocked with all amenities you could need. The house is on a main road but it is not busy and traffic noise was not an issue. I would definitely recommend this house to a group.
