This is a social project with the NGO Projects for Children. El Salto del Limon is a waterfall in the middle of a valley in the province of Samaná (Dominican Republic). The Walk lasts around 2h (1h one way + 30min return + 30min relax). you will walk along a hike beginner level path, explaining the local tree species (pineapple, coconut, cocoa, almonds) and seeing and tasting its fruits. Discover Sosua's Underwater World
Enjoy the underwater world in Sosua, we will explore two different Snorkeling reefs. We provide with the snorkeling equipment and a snorkeling guide. We offer pick up from your hotel in Sosua and Cabarete. From Puerto Plata it is easy to use Uber if you don´t have your own transportation. Please remember to bring your towel, swim wear and sunscreen lotion. We start from Sosua Bay, where crystal clear warm water and a 1 km long sand beach welcomes you. You will get your mask, fins, inflatable snorkel vest and instructions before we get into the water, our first snorkeling spot is Three Rocks and Sosua Bay for our second reef. At the end of the afternoon, we will visit La Palmilla Natural Pool and see starfish, return to Bayahibe Port in our Speed Boat, and after we will drive to Punta Cana, Bavaro. The duration will be approximately 2 hours. I recommend doing it early in the morning or at sunset. During the trip we will know typical Dominican places and their culture. On the beach we will walk through several places where I will go through different natural and funny shots. At the end we will enjoy a refreshing coconut water or craft beer. Difficulty level: -Medium; when you're fit/water level is low (dry/cold season) -High; when you're not fit/water level is high (wet/hot season) It is completely doable in all scenarios. You must not have any injuries, don't need to be an athlete either! (If you want a more challenging experience, book 'Hiking DR's most impressive waterfall') LGBTQ+ friendly experience/vegetarian acommodating. Pickup included in Santo Domingo. We depart at 6am (pick up might start up to 30 minutes before). It's a 2-hour road trip with beautiful sights of the mountains to get to the town where we are having a typical dominican breakfast. Aventura en Isla Saona/ Desde Punta Cana/ Todo Incluido
Lo primero que árenos es buscarlo en su lugar de alojamiento para ir hasta Bayahibe de donde saldrá el Catamaran. Nota: El barco sale aproximadamente 10:30 am , llegada a la isla aproximadamente 1:00pm . Tiempo en la isla aproximadamente 2 horas . Una vez estemos en Bayahibe Tomaremos una lancha rápida para iniciar el viaje a la Isla Saona por el Mar Caribe. Vamos hacer de una parada en la hermosa Piscina Naturalmente hasta llegar a Isla Saona. • Disfrutaremos de la Isla donde también nos espera una rica comida típica dominicana hecha con amor por los habitantes de la isla la cual podrán disfrutar en frente de la playa Virginia de la Isla saona. Luego vamos abordar un hermoso catamarán para regresar a Bayahibe. En el catamarán, disfrutaremos. de la fiesta, bebidas ilimitadas, snacks y el baile con nuestra animación durante todo el camino. Fantastic Adventure to Hidden Waterfall and Historical Cave
Join us to visit this beautiful hidden waterfall in the greenest province of the entire Dominican Republic, Monte Plata. This is a 20-meter-high natural monument located in Bayaguana, where we will enjoy the clean air, the spectacular views, and the great flora that surrounds this wonderful waterfall. We will meet at the meeting point in the morning, to go to the waterfall 50 minutes from Santo Domingo, enjoying the landscapes that the road gives us, while we have breakfast on board. Along the way, we will talk about the history of the island, beautiful places in the DR and get to know each other better. When we arrive at the Cascada, Doña Ramona will wait for us, who will cook our traditional Dominican lunch (al carbon), as they used to cook in the 1900's on our island. Once ready, we will walk for around 15 minutes and we will go into the jungle to reach the beautiful hidden waterfall. It is a steep path but not difficult to cross, (I recommend comfortable shoes to avoid falling) We will explore the waterfall, take photos in it, enjoy the water and the beauty of nature for about two and a half hours and then return to the starting point to enjoy our lunch, chat, rest, and then start out trip back to Santo Domingo stoping by un the three eyes cave learning about history and this fantastic place an beautiful nature monument, after that we gonna head to out meeting point.
Forest Bathing Hiking to Hidden Waterfall
"shinrin-yoku" If you arrive publicly, we will meet at 9.30 am pick-up in Ocoa or Rancho Arriba in the park . We cross a river then we walk for 15 minutes in the stream along where it has crayfish until we cross the road where we then hike about 30 minutes uphill to the right. above about 700m above sea level you can expect a panoramic view of the central mountains and we meet the inhabitants who cultivate vegetables in the open field. Bananas, oranges, mandarins, avocados, mangoes can be tasted, depending on the season, depending on the season. On the way there is a Taino cave, ten minutes further along the path you can already listen to the hidden waterfall. We then climb some small rocks inside the bush until the waterfall is visible in front of it. The refreshing natural pool with the cool mountain water that invites you to swim just around lunchtime. We will then stay for the "forest bathing" depending on your liking and whimsy. La experiencia en nuestras bicicletas de montaña comienza con la recogida en el lugar de su preferencia en la zona de Bávaro-Punta Cana. Luego vamos al pueblo de Macao para iniciar el recorrido hacia La Ceiba para conocer como viven los dominicanos y haitianos en la zona. También veremos plantas de cacao, café, caballos endémicos de la zona como el "Paso Higueyano", coliseos de peleas de gallos, y otras cosas que forman parte del ambiente dominicano. Al salir de la Ceiba pasaremos por el frente de la sección "El Salado" para luego terminar el recorrido en playa Macao. We will walk throught the "Sendero del Eden" where we will see fruit trees, a beautifull cave named "La Cueva del Eden", here we will go into the Cave and observe the stalactites and stalagmites. Then we will visit our Fogón where we will grind cocoa, make casava like our ancestors and roast coffee. After that... We will take you to cave brujuela so you can swim under ground , a space with 15 meters below, with natural water, while you wait for the food to be prepared in the fogon. At the end we will have a surprise for everyone!!! To enjoy!!! Other things to note We will be outdoors, the caves are rocky so we must have safe closed shoes, sunscreen and repellent, we will use stairs, and we will have access to parking, bathroom and shower.
