Breb's Cosy Barn, old wooden barn and green garden

Wow, just wow!!! Staying at Cosy Barn was just the retreat we were after. Maria has created two beautiful homes in traditional style, but finished to modern standards. (The kitchen had everything we needed, including a moka coffee maker! And the shower was wonderful!) The gardens are an idyllic respite from the world, peaceful and beautiful. We loved relaxing in the sunshine, with only birdsong and tractors as our soundtrack. Our children (8/10) were in seventh heaven on the trampoline and playing with Maria’s cats, dogs and pony. Maria was the most wonderful host - warm, kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to help us get the most out of our stay. Thank you! NB. We travelled in mid-April, out of season. Breb was beautifully quiet and free of tourists. But this also meant there was only one restaurant open in the village.

An incredible place to disconnect and enjoy nature. The house is beautiful, with every detail care, we were in the middle of winter, they were -10 degrees outside and inside we were super warm! This is a great place to go as a family! I recommend it 100%! Thank you Irina for everything!

We absolutely loved our stay in rural Maramures! We had the added bonus of making some cat friends. The only heads up I would give other guests, is to be prepared for a rural unpaved lead up for about 1.5km before you reach the property. Hosts were great, always around and communicative but allowed us to enjoy the space privately. A truly magical and memorable stay.

Wow, wow, wow ! I don't know how to write... it was the essence of Maramures, I wouldn't have thought it could be! This location leapt straight into the top three favorites, from all my trips... and maybe even the first of all ! AirBnb should add a separate category… Uber Host! Super is too dry and pale to be applied in this case. Find more by searching for articles about the International Camp of Art and Solidarity - You're free, so you can have a more complete picture of the location and hosts than my enthusiasm can. What if I come back? I'm afraid I won't be free, if the news goes...

We are delighted to meet Maria and spend these wonderful days in her place. Breb is a special place in the fertile valleys of the Maramures and Maria is a special person in the right place. We appreciated very much her particular attention and her time dedicated to us, the opportunity of leisurely talks and walks together, that she gave us the possibility to "immerse" us in this unique world. We cannot fail to mention the affection we received from Kuki, her dog and her animals. Her super equipped and gently decorated wooden barn offers a warm and perfect stay in the middle of the landscape. Grazie di cuore ancora Maria.
