Places to stay in Deep River

Great stay in Burnstown. Lovely home , with a great space on the main floor for our family get together. Kitchen was well laid out and well equiped for cooking!

Tracy and Simon were great hosts. They were easy to communicate with and offered lots of recommendations of activities, restaurants and events. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Our stay at Matthew’s was great. An entire home for $150 a night is a spectacular deal. The home was clean, and easy to access thanks to Matthew’s great communication. There was plenty of room, and we felt right at home. We were very close to downtown Pembroke and we appreciated the convenience. We would absolutely recommend Matthew’s space to anyone and we were so pleased with his hospitality.

We arrived and were greeted by our awesome hosts and two big fluffy dogs(Mick & Tripper). We were shown how to operate the stovetop and toilet as it is off grid. Everything is completely functional with enough space for two. If you are over 6' or have long legs the bathroom may feel cramped. The location is well shaded by tall trees, and private. Local geese and ducks are pleasant to have around but were timid of us. Property is right on the river with kayaks and a big canoe which we used. The river has homes on it and was being used by boats, etc during the weekend but quiet on the weekdays. Quick trip to Eganville if you need anything. Perfect spot for a getaway for a few nights. The view of the lake at night with the moon and stars is very nice combined with the patio and lighting makes for very relaxing nights. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay and we would definately go back here.

Really enjoyed the stay here. It’s located at the end of the main street but everything and everywhere is walkable. Food at the restaurant below was really tasty and service was great! We came for the Light Up The Night festival weekend. You can’t see the stage directly but can see the fireworks from inside the unit if you want to stay warm. There is lots of see and do in the city and within 10-15 minute drive from Almonte to surrounding towns. I recommend taking advantage of it. Ask around - the locales are friendly. I would definitely come back and stay again for the Light up festival. Instead I would stay 3 nights to see their Santa parade on Sunday evening. I would recommend to bring slippers if staying in the winter as you need to remove your boots outside. Also Heather was quite responsive and helpful. I recommend staying here.

My boyfriend found this hidden gem for us to spend our holidays at, this place is amazing! Jessica has really put a lot of care and time into making this place a one of a kind experience. The spa was something that was new to us and we’re hooked! So relaxing and the neighbourhood is very quiet and friendly, the most noise we heard were the spring peepers, blue jays and the rooster in the morning as they have chickens and farm fresh eggs available! If you want to get away for a cozy and relaxing holiday this is the place to book!

Thank you for a great night's stay in Almonte, Carmel. The home has so much character and charm. The new bathroom was a great treat. Even with the epic amount of snow in town, it was an easy check in and check out. We hope to visit again.
