Place to stay in Villa de Leyva

Maloka-style cabin, El Hayuelo, Villa de Leyva

AlejandroRating, 5 stars29 months ago
It is an extraordinary place! We highly recommend Maloka, quiet, natural, walking trails, our pets were accepted, it may seem cold in the photos due to the type of construction but the temperature inside the maloka is perfect, Consuelo and Ana were always available for our questions. We will surely return

Wonderful cabin for couples or families.

Jardin Colibri is a little slice of paradise. There are fruit trees, a sheep, two awesome friendly dogs, and hiking trails on site. The family cabin has everything you need: a clean bathroom, comfortable beds, a stocked kitchen with stove, and a fantastic fireplace. Mao is everything you want in a host: excellent communicator, friendly, knowledgeable with an eye towards education about the environment - flora and fauna and sustainability. Iti s easy to be involved with Mao and his projects or to be on your own, a great mix, especially with kids. On the grounds, we saw grasshoppers, salamanders, swung on a rope swing, and picked tomate de arbol and curuba (fruits). My boys ages 7 and 11 are already (just 2 days after leaving) asking when we can return. Top spot!

Charming cabin, surrounded by nature

JuanKRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A beautiful cabin, surrounded by nature; comfortable, it is not left and is missing nothing... and the most interesting thing for us: the harmony between space and the environment, and tranquility. Highly recommended!! Thanks to Carlos and Beatriz, they were beautifully behaved.

La Rohanna at Mawasi Finca

KarlaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Place is Stunning. A cute little house made by Bonnie and William, surrounded by nature and with so many fascinating little details. It looked just like the description. We only met William, he was super attentive, friendly and helpful! He gave me a little tour to the back area where theres a pond and a beautiful rock. Also permitted me to take some photos of some models, as I am a photographer and was super flexible with check out ( in our case) which Im grateful for. The area is so peaceful, perfect to disconnect. We used Waze to get there but I would not recommend, at least once you get to Villa de Leyva. It took us through a dangerous road.. when there was another road that wasn’t really that bad. Our only problem was the internet, because it does not get much signal in the house I picked sadly. Other than that, If we had any little Issue William was always ready to help us. I would recommend!

Eco-Chic Mud House: Experience peace next to river

JohnyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
An incredible place to connect with nature and recharge. It's designed to enjoy to the fullest without having to go out much, making it perfect for a quiet getaway. Because it's a bit far from the towns, I recommend bringing everything you need to prepare your meals. If you need anything else, Sasaima is a closer and more practical option. In our case, we decided to avoid La Vega because it is usually crowded, its streets are narrow and we were traveling with pets and a baby car, so Sasaima was ideal. The road from the village to the cabin is in good condition, although you will find some stretches of trail. This is not a problem if you take it easy and drive a moderately high car. Otherwise, Mrs. Martha was always available and attentive. Her cabin is magical, cozy and, best of all, completely private. Definitely a place I would recommend to disconnect and enjoy 😌
